This morning, after being brought a lovely cup of coffee in bed by my favourite husband, I tried on all my summery dresses. All but 2 fit. Which is very confusing as I was lighter last time I tried, but now they fit, so I fear all the sand may have fallen to the bottom of my hourglass.
Oh well, I suppose an empire line hides a multitude of sins. Very surprised quite so many zips were happy to go up all the way on my fitted skirts and dresses though...... still, I at least have nice flattering strappy dresses to wear whilst dieting. I have my summer wardrobe sorted.
Strangest thing happened in Mr T's shopping emporium yesterday, I saw they had white shirts reduced down to £10, they are oversized, but are not see-through, which far too many white shirts are (NSFW), so I tried on a size 16, which normally would not fit my fabulously enormous boobs in and button up - it was massive on me, but as they (the shirts) were oversized, I thought ok , drop a size to a 14, still enormous,... drop a size to a 12, .... still enormous, there was no size 10, tried on a size 8, which was fine, except the arms were too short (obviously size 8 types are all dwarves in disguise) and I would have had to have them rolled up all the time, which is not ideal, although I would probably have rolled them up anyway.By this time I was so annoyed at the duplicity of the shirts (a size 16-18 masquerading as a size 8!) I was thoroughly disgusted with the whole process and did not bother buying it as it felt like I was being lied to, (no honest, you are a size 8!) who were they trying to kid???So tomorrow is my 25th Wedding Anniversary, Yay me! DH has spent the entire morning under the kitchen sink because the water tap was dripping, and then bobbing back and forth to BaseHome for bits of pipe and all sorts, £58 later, it is sorted, but I suppose a plumber would not have come out for less than £60 and then there would have been the replacement taps and housing and hourly rate, so he has saved us money, but it does make him grumpy. Anyway, we now have working kitchen taps. Huzzah! and 2 more days off school!4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Yaaay for all the summer clothes fitting! 😊 And yah boo to sucky clothes manufacturers that make clothes that fit hall of mirrrors shaped bodies! Apparently I have broad shoulders / back - if the arms are long enough on a garment on me, I’m swimming in the rest of it! 🙄
Bravo on the tap wrestling by Mr F. Does he get a DIY dispensation for at least a month now?? 😂 😉

That's rubbish about the shirt sleeves. I can struggle at the best of times with sleeve length as when limbs were handed out mine got mixed up and I was given the arms of someone a foot taller than the rest of me - which is helpful when reaching the top shelf in supermarkets so not all bad.

Oy! Fobbed off before 9.30am. Had a Dr appt to discuss HRT this afternoon, was downstairs checking on the banking just before 8.00 and was rung by the surgery to say the Dr has called in sick and can I do an 8.30 appt. - of course I went, I was 10 minutes early, I waited, the dr decided I need blood tests (last done 5 months ago - all ok) another smear test (last done 4 months ago - all ok ) an ultrasound done on my ovaries (last done when I started having 'perimenopause symptoms' 10 years ago) and while they are there it would be rude not to have a peek in on my kidneys and liver and anything else they happen to find in the way (car keys? squeaky dog toy? garage door remote control?
).
So, I have another appt early doors Thursday for a lovely internal! Love how you've furnished the place! Have you had it long? Don't go towards the light! This time I am going to stick with it, I will not think S0d it! or get fobbed off a.g.a.i.n.Blimey, I am sure it is not supposed to be this difficult to slap a patch on my butt and wave me out the sliding doors (not a euphemism)4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

On the plus side, switch completed on the Bank of Ulster so should get my bribe in the next 7 days. All bills went out, still not received the ground rent, am sitting drinking coffee playing The Premium Bond Game inside my head (not checking, not checking, not even peeking!
too much fun!! ).
Paid off the huge (for me!) £810 credit card bill (not having to visit in-laws - priceless!). £200 swept off to kids regular savers accounts. Just over £400 left for the month, but £200 child benefit/£200 switch/£98 ground rent/ £50 you gov payout / plus my massive Premium Bonds winnings () still to come in throughout the month.
All in all, very good going. I need to buy a tyre this month as well.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Oh the comments on this new system are not pretty! Those code writing people are all on board giving their tuppence worth, the quoting button is all over the place, the very important serious people on the serious people's boards are all very unhappy.
We still can't have coloured fonts in an easy setting though - too difficult. It is all well above my pay grade.
