I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine2 -

Made another £10 on p/a today, and £5 of South American River vouchers. - I need to keep remembering to check the old RM postal survey site, as I have had £20 appear in there in the last week or so, from correctly delivered/not addressed/parcel posting panels. Sadly not on the shiny new SPECTRE panel yet, I have registered, and received my paperwork, and scanned the qr code, but no work has been forthcoming yet....Going to pick up all 5 men-folk next week and drag them across to Ireland to 'do' their grand/parents at Easter. It will probably be 4 or 5 days, and will cost me £650, but then it will be done, and I will have taken them all, and thus my duties will be discharged to an acceptable level of service. Plus I get to pretend to be on a cruise ship
twice.
with grumpy male people
. Whatever! I have decided I will do it once a year, and after that it is up to them what they do, or when they come and see their menfolk. They have had 21 years out of me. DH will not be in the office for the 4 day weekend anyway, and he is off with his mates on a jolly the weekend the kids go back to school. Then it can be shelved at the back of my 'I don't care' cupboard until next year.
Maybe I should suggest meeting up in Lanzarote in October? Two school days left to go, luckily I checked the freezer this afternoon (I checked yesterday at supper time as well) - Mr Somebody had eaten 2 pasties in the night, so there were none left. Glad I noticed in time to do something about it! Bought everything needed for tomorrow and Friday from the shrapnel floating around in my purse. Hooray!!Kids' Hollyfox bank regular savers accounts begin again tomorrow - now at 5.5%, so that can tick along nicely in the background again for another year.... £1400 saved by next Easter! then payday x 2 on Friday and school holidays.Won't be too long before the Geordie-duo bank switch bribe money comes in April, then I will switch to RBS for their £200 bribe (paid within 7 days), thank you very much..... it would be rude not to.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Happy payday! well, housekeeping for me, pay will come in tomorrow but I earned sub £100 this month, so really, the payday is today.Bought tickets for Ireland this morning. Mostly as a fait accompli. Mischief managed. Rang in-laws to let them know. It will only be 4 nights there, but still, it is better than nothing, and will give them something to dread look forward to
and I get to polish my halo (what is halo in Polish anyway? probably halo ).
I am quite excited as this is my first PB draw month with the full allowance. Will see if I win anything. It is jolly good fun though, I must say - not won anything at all yet, but it is a lot more fun than looking at a savings account balance sheet.Schoedinger's Premium Bonds..... until you go online and check....Sent DS4 into school with next instalment of his school trip money (£60), paid off the cc bill (house insurance and nothing else!), I have been shunting the p/academical payouts to the cc account whenever they come in, it has helped!Shoved £600 to savings (now only have £500 to find to hit the magic target of £40k) and spent £550 on return Ireland tickets for 6 people (doh!) but that is now on the cc for next month and will mostly be taken care of by bank switch ambient income and a ground-rent payment. So at least I know where it will be coming from. Some bills will go up this month - Poll tax and waterSome should go down - Gas & electric and new mobile contracts4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I caved and checked on the status of my Schroedinger's Premium Bonds.I have won £50 this month! yay! So far 100% success rate with 100% of allowance.Sadly DS3 and his 2 bonds have not made him a rich teenager - he asks every month if he is a millionaire yet.Sat on p/a for half an hour this morning and made another £10.Laundry done and on the line. Sat in a sunny patch by the patio doors and warmed myself like a lizard, and then went outside and deadheaded stuff, removed dead plants, saw my fuchsias have tiny sproutlets at their dead, dry, gnarled bases, so cut them back, and pruned back my lavender to a vaguely tidy shape after it having been all hippy dippy for the winter. Lots of sun, but bl00dy freezing.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
