I do not think they are 'proper builders' as the van they are using, is the same one used by the people who converted the house into a cannabis farm.  I do not think 'proper builders' do that kind of whole house garden-room renovation project.  It would be a bit of a coincidence if after 4 years, a different set of builders were to have bought the van that the people who wrecked the house had owned....  Plus, they are the same people, just older, and they now all have dodgy beards.    Not that I took a photo of their license plate or anything.......

DS3 is safely back home, deep cleaned, with butterfly closures, and covered in antibac dressings to remain on for 3 days and  then replace.  No further action unless he goes septic ..   Cannot believe they let him go anywhere in the state he was in.  I think he was just on auto-pilot to get home asap.  Anyway, at least I now know where A&E is, and more importantly, DS1 and DS2 know where A&E is.

DS3 is way better off at home than A&E thats why they send them home asap.  Just think of all those infectious people in there.  Did he bang his head, if so I am sure you know that you need to keep a good eye on him, all the more so if he seems a bit out of it.

To go back to the builders.  Is there any way the building regs people can go check out what they are doing.

Poor DS2 - I am that person who can (and has) tripped over thin air. I feel for him. Although on the plus side, he has 3 days of legit teenage boy non showering ...I feel for the rest of you! 

Blokes next door sound like utter numpties - I suspect they may have fallen down kerbs in their time and knocked any sense they had out of their heads.

Totally happy with A&E, really not happy with the college releasing DS2  back into the wild with a cut open trouser leg and a little bandage he had totally bled through by the time he got home 20 minutes later.

Pollution dept of the council has been in touch with a ref number in case they burn anything on the property ever again, and have suggested  contacting building control re possible structural damage they may have caused.

He is 18 @apple_muncher to be honest I don't think they would have rung me at all if they had not had to cut his trousers open, that was what they seemed most concerned about, both to him, and on the phone to me.   Anyway, he is home, happy, fed and happy to go back in tomorrow.  He is mostly relieved he did not have to have an injection.  Wuss!

Today I am getting rid of a bath lift, and a tower hifi system - both brought here from Ireland, so that will be about another meter squared of my house cleared. All to be picked up from people off the local gifting site this afternoon **doorbell just rang, bath lift has left the building**.  Tried to sell them, no takers, as soon as it is free, lots of requests of how much people would lurve one,   Typical!

Baked a Nigella gingerbread cake, a coconut and cherry loaf, and a caraway seed cake (for the house perverts) this morning.  Baked a vanilla and biscoff traybake last night. Will freeze some I think, just so that we have something in, but not so much that we eat it all..... Easy puddings if I make custard, or after school snacks when they come home next week freezing cold - if the weather forecast is to be believed.

DH was working this morning, so I have cleaned the kitchen, and made sure there is no food Emma can get her paws onto - she was seen twice yesterday evening, peeking out from the chimney stack and legging it.  Must be getting pretty hungry by now. Bin goes out twice a day and nothing is left overnight. Everything is in sealed containers. Soon she is going to get in the trap....
