Oooh! DS3 has just informed me that there are 4 weeks of school left until Easter hols (after tomorrow).  That is quite jolly exciting 😊.  You hear me @apple_muncher??

Just panicked and sent max allowance to an ISA at 3.7%  with H0llyFax that just popped up  So I have PBs and an ISA locked safely away.  Now I can forget about that money, and not stress about it.

Everything else is now  house renovation budget, currently just under £40k.  Loft extension rough estimates are £20-£22k ex VAT I am currently managing to shunt £1k nearly every month to savings - if I cook everything from scratch and research purchases carefully.  Side return/extension should not be very expensive as roof will be mostly glass, and it will involve maybe 2 steels and some bricks. I am not going for moving waste pipes or drains (I don't think), just squaring off the L shape of the house to a LT shape. 

Got email to say the  birth certificates are found and on the way - before 9am!  Thank you very much.  Also found out that when I get them, I do not have to register myself on the Born-outside-Ireland-Registry and can go straight for Passport holder status as I am automatically an Irish citizen because my mother was born there.  Ta-dah!!!!  Who even knew?  Still, I might need those papers in the future. I am glad I am getting them. I have never even seen their marriage certificate or my mother's birth certificate.

Builders are back in next door, they are stressing me out, I am just waiting for them to drill through into my electrics.

Are they actually builders or just people doing something to the building, if you see what I mean  If they are proper builders do you have any idea what their reputation is like.  It might put your mind at rest a little.  I suspect you won't be using them for yours anyway!

Sorry to hear about the idiot next door and the fire. That could have been a disaster! 

I'm also counting down until Easter, March is a tough one with exam prep and no holidays 😬

Just dropped DS1 and DS2 off at A&E.  DS2 managed to trip over his own feet stepping down off the kerb, the college had to cut his trousers off him to dress his 'deep graze', then sent him home on the bus,and rang me to apologise for ... ruining his trousers.  He came home at 3pm, in shock, shaking, and has a 3 inch long gash down his leg about half an inch deep - his hands are grazed, his knee was a mess. So  I drove them down to A&E, and dropped them off because I could not find parking and the car park is a building site,  and DH went down to join them after work at 4pm.  I will pick them all up again once he is cleaned and sewn back together.   Poor thing.  Happy March!!
