If the majority of minimum wage companies are like mine, which I believe they are, we are being offered to use a days holiday to ensure we get paid. I will be working from home, unfortunately most of the staff working front of house will just loose a precious days holiday. Agree that in the current climate I'm not sure she would agree with her departure affecting the worse off so much

I believe that despite her privileged position she did have some insight into how the rest of us lived.  I do not think she would have appreciated her loss being an excuse for certain people (as in a boss) to profit.  I do wonder how she would feel about the redundancies being announced by "Prince Charles" on becoming King.  Couldn't even wait for the funeral to be over, not even 2 weeks.  Makes me realise again why Harry wanted out.

I don't think he should be allowed the title until he gets officially hatted in The Abbey..  They are talking about it being in 2023.  After B-R-E-X-I-T,   B.J as PM, Covid, and PM Truss, I would have thought he would want to get it over with before the start of the earthquakes and the (probably)  foreign-murder-death-hornet infestations.

Took DH to the train station after the school run, and left him there.  He returns late on Sunday night. 

Today I have applied for 4 jobs.  Go me!   One each at the GP0, B00tses, TKMaximus, and Whit-tards.

After bringing the kids home from school I got the top two floors cleaned and hoovered (DS2, 3 & 4 all tidied their rooms, I hoovered,) two bathrooms cleaned, hall, stairs and landings hoovered, DS3 did the washing up (twice) while I made supper (chickless nuggets, chips, salad, and wraps- nothing gourmet, just quick and tasty). 

All the laundry is now next to the washing machine and I can beat it into submission over this dry weekend (according to Des the weather witch).

All the supermarkets are putting out their (really offensive) C-word merch.  Herr L's dark choc lebkuchen hearts are labelled vegan this year (it changes year on year) and so DS1 is going to be doing a happy lurch when he finds out.

Still no cheque from those shonky solicitors..... but then I had a message from my RM survey to check the dates I received some things as they are more than 3 days since posting.  That was me being kind.  The Sols are doing it on purpose.  I had hoped I would have the cheque by now, but I will probably not be able to put it into the bank before Tuesday, as the Saturday post usually comes mid afternoon and the bank closes at 3pm.  Oh well, maybe next week eh?

Hiding in his bedroom, and claiming to be applying for jobs.  No job has appeared.

DH has been away to 3 conferences in the last two weeks, and so has not had time to take him in hand or do anything except write his papers and panic a bit.  So I have been a bit busy with everything else.  

DS1 is entirely too comfortable, his time is up.

Why on earth aren't they transferring straight into your account.  No let me guess, it will be in their's a bit longer before the chq clears.  The way solicitors work really is "interesting".  I haven't trusted them since my first divorce when he died & if it hadn't been for my father (pre internet early 70s) I would have lost the house.  Followed 20 yrs later by my second one - no pension sharing!  You need to know the law to actually risk using them.

I have been invited to an interview!  Sadly the 3 days they are interviewing are the 3 days I am in Brum, so I have emailed them to ask if there is any other time they could interview me.   I must write a pretty good cover letter.
