@f0xh0les - I buy my antihistamines online from Pharmacy first - much cheaper than the chemist - currently 79p for 28 tablets.  First starting buying from them a few years ago after being prescribed them by the GP who then decided to stop prescribing them after a while.

All the tablets contain lactose @joedenise. There is not one single vegan tablet out there. So we are stuck with the liquid ones.

It is daft, you would  think chalk would be cheaper than lactose, but apparently not.

Do you remember (the 21st night of September!), the rant I went on about the CTC fetishists where it ended in 'We owe you nothing, nothing at all ' (a la Bros  c1987) ??  Never darken our doorway again,  Jezebel! and then they paid me £1100 in August for  erm.. Michaelmas maybe???  Well, last week I tried doing end of year round up for a £0 award, but hey, nothing ventured, nothing whatnot,  but had to ring them to tell them I had worked for 15 days last tax year, just for fun. They did not seem excited for me at all!  Poor show.

Well they did the end of year voodoo, and sent me another £300 this morning. 

Now it is  nowhere near how much poor DH lost in strike pay (about £7k) but it is better than a kick in the teeth from a T0ryP0litician.

So when MSE Martin (our hero!) says that incomes up to (or slightly over) £50k could qualify for CTC in certain exceptional circumstances - it seems those circumstances are if you claimed before they put the 2 kid limit in - so if you have 12 yrs + kids. 

So, the moral of this little story is, even if they tell you they owe you nothing, just stick with it, fill out their poxy forms. Sit on hold for 30 minutes to do it (free mobile phone minutes are useful for some things and it is hands free)  because  with the 'uplift' and whatever algorithm they use to work out which  House Venus was in on 4th December, they may well pay out this year. Even if they have told you to go boil your head on multiple occasions, do not believe them. I don't think I have ever not ended up with a surprise payment at the end of the tax year.

Things I have done today

Spoken to Estate Agent - survey has been done on s/g house - all progressing on their side.

Still not been contacted by my Conveyancing solicitor, so dropped her an email - she was supposed to contact me on Monday. Nothing happened, so I have emailed her asking for  a quote for the work. It is the same firm as probate, so there is no excuse.

Contacted Probate solicitor, as they have been doing whatever it is they are supposed to be doing for 7 weeks now. I asked how they were getting on and how much longer it would take.

Contacted Headstone man  (worst superhero ever)

I am waiting for other people to do things.  I am impatient.  I do not like this.

Just catching up (again) f0xh0les. I have tired myself out just reading your posts - I've no idea how you get all of this stuff done and keep going.

Because my house is a mess and my kids are selfish spoilt entitled brats? Still love 'em though.

Without DH it would have been seriously impossible though.  that man.

The atmosphere in the house is 80% rotten though. DS2 and DH are at loggerheads. DH wants to put him in the bin. DS2 is just horrid right now.  Selfish entitled toad. 

Apart  from that everything is marvellous!
