There is no cake in my house.  I just went to get a slice. Pouf! gone, all 3 cakes and all 12 scones.

Disturbingly, as I had 5 and a 1/2 big pots of yogurt on Friday, now I have 1 and a 1/2. 

Unsurprisingly, the fruitbowl is still full.

Maybe just serve up fruit at the next meal and if anyone queries it, point out that the things you had planned on giving them have mysteriously vanished.

I am sending DH away with all the packet snacky noodley what-nots on his camping/fieldy weekend (weekends start on Thursday morning apparently) this weekend.  They are all  hidden in a tupperware box  and  he can live off them for 4 days and the kids will not eat them in their bedrooms - who ever heard of eating raw packet noodles? It is weird! crunchy, but weird!

Volunteering went well this morning. 

The solicitors should have all the documents to sell the bungalow.

The grave is marked.

All that is left is to clear the bungalow fully.  So I am planning on going over after DH comes back from his camping-bobs, and after the academic retreat (not in a tree house), and after my birthday.  June is a busy month. But at least there are only 5 weeks left until the long summer holidays, and S/G will have all her affairs tidied up before the kids go back to school for the Autumn term.

I am fretting and anxious about the whole  house selling thing. I am awake and  looking at the clock at 2.30am every day.  It will cost just under £200 to drive over and fill my car and come back.  So if I am lucky I will  be able to do it all in one trip.

Got a phone call from Mr Electric Meter-Reader to tell me that s/g's front door was open (the porch door was locked though) and the alarm was going off - as it would with the front door being open.  So rang the EA (only people with keys)  and someone went over there and sorted it, I think someone is going to get a shouting at.  My guess is the surveyor.

Very glad I thought to write a very small post-it note with 'In case of emergency please ring XxXxxXXxxx' and stick it on the front and back doors.  It has come in very handy so far.

DH has volunteered his big car for me to go and empty the rest of the house once he is back from his jollies. it should only take one load to empty all the stuff I want to keep in that monster.  Nervous about taking it up the boat ramp though!

F-i-L's brother died this morning.  He is very upset. Understandably. Awful lot of funerals suddenly aren't there?  Or is it just me?

What it will mean, is that the in-laws are going to get militant about seeing their kids and g/k's from now on. Their kids are not good at keeping in touch with them.  They have been pretty woeful as g/p's up until now, and as DS4 will be 13 this year, it is a bit late to turn into a doting granny/pa. I fear they will start throwing money at them.  Bribery rules in their family.

Thats handy about the car. Just bear in mind it's exactly the same as yours in principle when it comes to the ramp. You'll be fine. 

It does always seem to be the way with funerals doesn't it.
