Poor old duck was stuck in A&E from 9am until gone 19.30, she is exhausted, and has had a million tests run on her, and now she is in an isolation room all on her own and complaining about the noise.

She knows what day it is, remembered that I work tomorrow, and is feeling very sorry for herself.  I think Covid just got real for her, for the first time.

DS3 has had a lovely birthday, ate far too much cake, ordered pizza (it came cold - I was not really interested anyway, but he wanted it and it is his birthday so he got it), he loved his presents, now he is up in his room, DH is gaming with his invisible friends, and I am alone in the living room and about to dive into a book.

Guilt is killing me.  Guilt about everything in the universe. Too much is beyond my control.  I doesn't like it.

Don't let the guilt stick. You have your own invisible friends on here who are rooting for you.😎. Enjoy your book.

Hope you are ok, it must be upsetting to hear about the next of kin comments, I have worked with the elderly for a number of years and sadly they do appear to make comments about the main people who care for them.... I have just put it down to the aging process /  time of life.

If you haven't already (probably have) can you get a local company to deliver her  flowers from you and your family....  makes her feel as if she is not on her own and gives her and the nurses something to talk about.... and tells people she is not on her own or forgotten, sadly older people do think people forget about them.

I think mums are especially good at feeling guilty - mostly (as in this case with you) with no need... x

I'm sorry about the guilt. Is it guilt where you did something bad, or where you don't feel you made the right choice with hindsight?

feels like guilt that she cant be in five places at the same time.  We all know that's impossible and that @f0xh0les can only be in two places at the same time like usual

A mother's guilt.  Starts in the maternity ward & ends - well that would be pretty much never.

Thinking of you and hoping that things improve quickly.
Know where you're coming from with the guilt... but even when you've turned yourself upside down and inside out, to try and be everything to everyone, we still find something to feel guilty about.  ((((hugs)))) XXXX
