DS4s birthday and Christmas money was finally returned to my account today, so it was transferred to his account, and then I had to take him to The Greek Boats Shop to buy Zelda for his sw1tch.  Happy kid.

I volunteered all morning, and afternoon too, picked up kids from school. DH is in seminars and union meetings until 6ish.

Sue Grey has still not published her report, and Eddie Mair is having a whale of a time mocking it on LBC.  It is swiftly becoming a must-listen in our house.  His comic timing is perfect.

Oh dear, Barry Cryer has died - R4 stalwart. Another one gone.

Just read your whole diary! I love the idea of curtains over doors. Something I've thought of but not got round to, I'll see what I can get in the CS, but velvet ones sound lovely!

Manic busy down the foodbank today.   But I am now off until next week, so can chill and get on with other stuff.

We have started playing Scrabbl e again, it has been 2 nights in a row now. DH hates it, which is hilarious. He has no patience with kids trying to slip rude words onto the board..  As long as it is in the dictionary and spelled correctly I am totally liberal.

Supper tonight was a 'pick a plate' from the fridge meal, so all the single portions of stuff have been used up and the fridge is much tidier now. Added a pack of mini breadsticks, a salad, and some garlic and chive soft cheese.

Three days left til payday, only £150 to pay on the credit card - even with the car insurance and breakdown cover going out this month.

Off to bed with a book, the heating has gone off.

Ooh - love a bit of scrabble with a glass of wine. Maybe I’ll get those days back in about 10 years….

DH doesn’t like scrabble either, but that’s because he’s rubbish at it and tries to make up words that he insists are in the dictionary!

DH keeps using legal terms wot academics write.

 The kids tell him he cheats, he argues that it is a word, even if it is not in common parlance.

It is fun to watch.  He can take himself a little bit too seriously sometimes, so it is nice to see him being ribbed mercilessly by his kids.  Of course I am totally above such things.

Gotta love Scrabble! My most memorable game was played in Spain with 2 Spanish friends. I was allowed to use a dictionary. No idea what the score was, but my last 5 letters spelt out ñaque, netted me a gazillion points, and I won!!!!
