Doing alright, aren't I?  it is totally not sustainable for any length of time though I have left myself with £250 for  the rest of the month, but there is a week's food in the cupboards easily, no major major spends planned, and I still have the very healthy £21k renovations fund.  So I skimmed off as much as possible from the budget, and I still have half of my wages to come in from last month's work, which will pay for the London accommodation and food in half term. 

Just going to throw money at the mortgage and hope for the best. Child benefit? thrown at the mortgage, wages? thrown at the mortgage, no water bill this month? thrown at the mortgage. 

Poor DH has broken a tooth this morning and is off to the dentist now for his appointment.

Eating a piece of toast  (wholemeal) it just fell apart (he is traumatised by his teeth, he dreams of them), so they have stuck a temp filling in, and he is booked in for a cement job next week. They do not want to crown it yet, so they will backfill and retarmac, or something. 

Today FunBoy3 is 14.  The pantry Cherry Thief has been at work again - the lunchbox tat box was  very empty so I made 8 coconut and cherry buns (with the 5 cherries left  in the pot.....) and 6 chocolate and pecan buns.  I have to make a coffee and walnut cake (the Cherry Thief has also been at the walnuts and left me with a jar of dust) and he wants a  takeaway for supper from a place I am really not bothered about. DH sorted most of his presents, and he now has a shiny new Prem1um B0nd account to start him off gambling.

But first, coffee number 2 and kid herding....

me too - it was a crusty roll from pr3t-a-mang3r.  I got it as it was 50p - only cost me £200 in dentistry - should have gone for the full sandwich and got my money's worth

Oh dear, rang step-gran this morning and got to talk to a paramedic who was loading her into an ambulance, she doesn't have the strength to stand, they do not know if it is Covid, or if she has had a heart attack, anyway, she is off to the covid hospital and they do not allow visitors.  So I am to ring tonight, and find out more. 

Her mate down the road did not bother to ring me and let me know. Another member of The Granny Mafia rang to tell me, and the paramedic let slip that step gran is telling people her next-of-kin is her mate down the road.

She is still forbidding me to come over until she is out of the hospital - not even sure they will release her even if she refuses treatment. 

So I have baked Funb0y3's birthday cake, I need more icing sugar as I made enough cake to see them through a few days in case I need to disappear.

Sorry to hear about step Grans current health problems.

Good idea about the cake. Are you able to devise a meal plan and prepare as much as possible? Partly as a distraction technique and partly to make home run smoother if you need to make a quick departure to Step Gran.

Hope it is nothing too serious and Step Gran is discharged with an appropriate support package.
