Scrabble is great - fun, with an educational element in there and allows you to be super competitive.
What I don't like is playing against someone who always manages to close off the board with where they place their words..... grrrr 😠🙄I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £203 -
Super productive Sunday already, pizzas made, lunchbox pizzas for tomorrow made at the same time, fridge cleaned out and restocked in an orderly fashion, cauli cheese for supper tonight will make lots more room - 2 big caulis take up SPACE! Healthy veg soup made for lunches, and after school munchies.Picked up a light mill in a c/s yesterday - I thought it was plastic, but I love them,so bought it anyway for £1, got it home, and it is glass. it is very basic, not coloured or anything, so that is amusing me right now.Tomorrow all the money comes in to my account. So today is limbo-like, but Sundays usually are, aren't they? The day before school goes back.I am slapping face goo on morning and night, that is my Chinese New Year's Resolution that I have started early.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

Step Gran rang in a panic on Saturday morning - lots of dropped and silent phone calls on the house phone, so dh sent me a text to say she was mucking about and could I sort it. So I snuck into an alcove between shops, and rang her. Her carer tested positive that morning and she wanted to know what to do (after 2 years she still needs telling), so, the carer had been in for all 3 days previously, coughing all over the place and telling her it was just a cold, and this morning (Monday) Step-Gran tested positive and has been in bed asleep all morning, she is going to have a cup of tea and go back to her bed. She feels rotten. I am not allowed to go over there unless she becomes really ill (she says). 82 years old, no immune system, takes a daily antibiotic to stop colds killing her, 4 x cancer survivor. So if I disappear suddenly, fear not.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

I hope step Gran makes a full and speedy recovery.
Is the carer from a company or organisation? If so I would get in touch (time and energy allowing) to raise concerns regarding the carers testing regime.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Oh dear! Whilst step gran is usually a pain in the proverbial, this has got to be something she should be worrying about. I thought carers were now supposed to be super careful or did that go out of the window with the last updates. I'll swear this gov is trying to kill off everyone over 65.

Really sorry to hear about your step-gran. Poor her CM5

The carer just thought she had a cold - I think she was testing daily, and they are all vaxxed.Since Boris's Party-House was exposed, people have just gone 'sod it', it is all over now. All the restrictions are lifted except on public transport and in hospitals, and people are now just relying on 'their common sense'. Good job Omicron is less dangerous to the majority of the population, however Step-Gran is hugely immuno-compromised, and it has been a minor miracle she has not succumbed so far.We will just wait and see.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!

Pinch punch first of the month!Numbers!!Made an o/p of £1059.64 this morning,My mortgage debt is now £77,499.99 which is obviously so much less than £77,500
Daily interest was £3.87Monthly interest was £120.87With the overpayment, the daily interest should take a big dip next month (always nice to see a cliff drop ), and I have overpaid more than half of the permitted amount that the Shanghai Bank allow. Have been mucking about with all my spreadsheets, colouring in the blocks and striking though all the oddments to keep me motivated in this journey toward £50k by my 50th birthday - still 2 and a bit years off.4/10/25Three Years Mortgage Free Yay!
