Staithes is also nice, not been for years... it has it's Captain Cook connection... maybe worh looking up.
If you look at Fossil Adventures on the tube they visit beaches in this area... fossils wash out from the mud cliffs onto the beach, I've found lots of Oyster and Mussel shells.MFW - 01.10.21 £63761 01.10.22 £50962 01.10.23 £39979 01.10.24 £27815. 01.01.25. £17538

Whitby is lovely (the boys might like the Dracula Experience it’s very silly), night ghost walks can also be fun, and a tradition is the Whitby lucky duck (made out of glass), Whitby Abbey is interesting and worth going too. Filey is nice for a quieter spot. If you want something away from the coast Bylands Abbey is very nice, as are villages around Thirsk. Scarborough is also good. I think there are surf schools now too which might be of interest some of the kids? There are tons of Jurassic coast walks for fossil hunting etc. It’s a brilliant place for a holiday. I agree re Whitby, Staithes, Robin Hoods Bay; also Scarborough for a seaside experience. Also Goathland Station was used for Harry Potter. Agree it is lovely to have something to look forward to. I've booked a week in the NE north of Whitby in autumn, so looking forward to a change of scene

Numbers!!I have just overpaid £568.83 to bring my total down to £83,999.99 - still on target for £80k in December 2021. I paid more than DH again this month.Monthly interest was £129.13 and daily interest was £4.16 - wonder if I can get it under £4 a day in December? It should work out around there, that will be nice! Paid off just over £4k so far in 2021, which is just about what should go out in a whole year.Anyway, I am now in 83's so I need a new playlist.Need to have a little money jiggle to make sure the rest of the excess remains excess and does not get spent. Everything is so much easier when shopping if you just go - sausages (+ salad), burgers (+ salad), baked potatoes (+ salad), sandwich slices (+ salad), red pasta (+ garlic bread), Cornish pasty makings (+ salad), Pizza toppings (+salad) - suddenly it all becomes clear! and I am using up a load of stuff from the pantry at the minute. What I have to look forward to in June:Half term the first week (reduced petrol spends!)2nd Jab (tomorrow)Only having 2 kids in school for the rest of the academic year - 80% less grumpy people who just want to go homeEuro's Football Competitione- if it goes aheadMy wonderful lovely birthdayFathers Day (it means cake)DS4s residential - even if it is over a weekend (boo!)DS4s secondary school induction daysNeeding to buy car tax (whoopee!)Plus the sun will be shining, all the laundry will be dried on the line, there will be no need for central heating, and less than 5 weeks of school left until the long summer holidays! What I do not have to look forward toI think we have woodworm - keep finding tiny dead beetles in the upstairs tiny loo room- the only room with a tiled floor. Will get on with that ASAP.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Thank you for the reminder of the Euros, I didn't realise they were less than 2 weeks away! Assuming they go ahead, of course."You won't bloom until you're planted" - Graffiti spotted in Newcastle.
