Have been laughing at your, "big pink monstrosity" comment, I sometimes think males panic and manage to buy / pick the worst thing in the shop. I've been in the shop's and pointed "I want that one" and Mr Pepper still got it ruddy wrong.
As for the fluffy legs, I was once late getting to a Dr's appointment, shaved one leg.... oh dear, he wanted to compare both!

Oh dear on the one shaved leg! It must have looked like a 'before' and 'after'No CTC payment this morning - anybody surprised? No? what not anybody??? yeah.Last day of school for 9 whole days!! and then I will have 2 kids at school, and from September, only one physical location to pick up anybody from - bliss!DH totally failed in his allotted task to pick up DS4 + bike from school (bikeability week) - I thought I would just 'check', after picking up DS3, and drove round by DS4s school, and found him whizzing about the street on his bike - his dad was sat in the car outside his school, boy had rode out (none of them can recognise each other in a bike helmet) down the road totally oblivious, dh got out, went into the school, looked for him, got confused, tried to ring me, but I had already found ds4, found dh's car, drove back, told ds4 and sent him back to his dad - and reunited them, and they still managed to be the car in front of me by the time we turned onto our road. DS4 blames his dad for not being in the 'regular place' to pick him up - DH does not do the school run and so knows literally nothing. Anyway - dh thinks he did a sterling job as he only 'lost' one child. That he only had to pick up one child still makes him feel like he has a 75% success rate. God they stress me out. If they ever, ever, listened, then they would be a major force to be reckoned with.DS2 has left school now.DS1 leaves Six Form at 3pmI am considering living in a hut on a beach.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Only losing one child is a major achievement. BUT, I can top that.
By strategically not listening I lost someone else's child - or rather left them at cubs as I had done a DH and missed the pick up rota. The boy loved it as he got to stay and play with the next age group up - always mega cool. I wasn't asked again

You have a lot of changes coming your way. Not least having 2 extra bodies around the place in the daytime. Have you been able to find them something gainful to do?

Not as yet @apple_muncher I am going to have to start thinking of them as housemates rather than kids! I had some nightmare housemates in student houses. Eeek!Went out for coffee with a mum friend this morning - I last had a coffee or a meal outside my house in Feb 2020! 17 months ago We sat outside and had a coffee and I found out she is an anti-vaxxer. Not an anti-masker, or an anti-handwasher, or anti-social distancing, but is wary of the newness of the vaxx and so will not take it. What can you say? I dunno. The science gets older every day, hopefully she will take one eventually.Funny how many people I see while out and about from volunteering - both sides of the desk! Funny how swively eyed they get when they realise where they recognise me from. Worthy of a painting in Scooby Doo.
Just say 'Hi!' and leave it at that, client confidentiality.
Anyway, DS1 is having his leavers ceremony this afternoon, DS3 wants to get a paper round - the local paper shop is advertising, will see if anything occurs.Half term could not come a moment too soon. 4.15 I will pick up my last kid, and then it is holiday time. Bank Holiday on Monday means no volunteering, so it is a proper 5 days where I do not have to go anywhere apart from getting jabbed, and the weather witches say the sun will shine down like marmalade, and cover us like glue.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

I'm just winding up my first stint on the postal survey. Must admit it will be nice to have a break but i did quite enjoy it too. Still, some lucky people will get their xmas cards 1st class this year. Actually , reminds me, I shall need to buy some, never picked any up in the sales as we were in lockdown and O2 didn't do their free packet either. Gosh, don't remember the last time I bought cards in the year for the same year.....Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
