Blimey, Boris has secretly married the Third Mrs Johnson in a 'secret ceremony' this afternoon, and my first thoughts are

1) How desperate was he to avoid being interviewed by Marr tomorrow

2) Are honeymoon's urgent and necessary travel

3) What is he trying to keep off the front pages of tomorrow's newspapers

4) Wonder who paid for it......

He should have married cummings instead, although to be fair he was shouting it shouldn't have been me outside the chamber

3. That everyone will need to show CV jab proof to get  into lots and lots of places, apparently?

The I.D card he said would never happen, it's just being called a different thing.

I have booked to go away the first week of the long holidays.  We break up a week before the rest of civilization, so should be a bit quieter than normal.   6 days in  Whitby. I have never been before, and I think there is enough of a stretch of countryside to find somewhere not too popular, not too far away if it is busy. Booked Sunday - Thursday.  £41 a night for all 6 of us.  I just need to get away. Not been anywhere at all since October half term 2019. Driving up there. One dorm with an en-suite.  Free Wi-Fi.  Any suggestions of where to go/what to do very welcome.   Will try and make it educational -  Fossils and Dracula.  Now I have something to look forward to.

Can tell you which chippy the locals consider as one of the better ones, Royal Fisheries, couple of doors down from Heron supermarket , think you can also eat in.  I'm sure you can get a Vegan options.  The Haddock was particularly  nice.

Robin hoods bay is a short drive away, nice beach, always a good for a day trip.
