I'm sure some of the greys here has interbred with the reds at some point, theres some ginger heritage in some of their colouring by the looks of it.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Reds and Grey squirrels are different species and couldn't produce offspring (according to Google) Makes you wonder though.I Believe.....

Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

DS1 has chosen his UCAS 1st and 2nd choices - QMU (London) and Anglia Ruskin (Chelmsford - aka ESSEX!!) so if all goes well, he will be off come Autumn. Now he just has to start earning.DS2 went in to school - 3 people turned up for the A level Chemistry group - all male, all ginger - I guess they all looked like Beaker from The Muppets once they got their lab coats and safety glasses on. He has decided on Chemistry, Biology, and Criminology - if he gets the grades. So that is another one sorted. After telling all the parents that kids have to go to school in their PE kits the days they have sport, and the PE kit must be black, non-branded, and include a hoody, the school have decided because it saves so much time, and nothing goes missing, that they are keeping it up when everything is back to 'normal', but it all has to be embroidered with the school logo now, so another new hoody, new T Shirt, and new shorts are needed x 2 and none of the other stuff can be handed down - I wish I knew someone with one of those fancy embroidery machines. One of the mums in Manchester had a word-of-mouth business embroidering supermarket bought school uniform to make it up to school regulation standard - wonder if someone does something similar in Le Shire? Anyway, at least a black tracksuit or two will still get used as real clothes, but it is a bit annoying as DS3 and DS2 have both had 2 bought for them this year as they had multiple days of sports in a row.The sun is shining, the birds are singing and all is well in my world.Sleeping terribly.Driving is awful - too many people in a rush. and driving far to close to each other, leading to a lot of horn honking and general bad behaviour. The sun really does bring out the worst in some people. One calendar month until the last day of term !4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

There's also a lot of people not used to driving as much so they get out of the habit and then drive like they've been away for 2 weeks abroad and have zero memory of our highway code (like the idiot today who wondered why I looked a bit miffed at them - indicator on to go left, but just drove straight across the roundabout I was waiting to turn right at. Had I taken their indicator at face value they'd have hit me....luckily I had a suspicion they were driving like a wally - I was right)
DS2 A-Levels sound interesting - is he planning to be a detective of some sort? I wish I'd dome Chemistry instead of History or Media.
Great news about DS1 too. Where would he be based in London for QMU (not a silly question, I looked at a London uni, it was either East London or Greenwich...the campus I'd have been at was in Tonbridge, Kent.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

He would be Mile End / Stepney Green/ Bow end of town, so north of the River at Canary Wharf/Docklands - the East End of Jack the Ripper. I have not told him that yet.

My OH went to QMU yonks ago for his degree, we lived in Hackney at the time and years later he worked in Bethnal Green. Think the area has changed an awful lot since those days - London Olympics had a lot to do with that5
