well done DH, well done you. NI would at least make you more EuropeanI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine4 -
Oh fantastic that he managed to get his vaccine. My auntie is a nurse and has been saying they just want people to come in and get the vaccine as so many within Leicestershire are not taking it and they don’t want to waste it. I find it astonishing that people aren’t booking in as soon as they are allowed to. I want Leicester out of the high danger zones as soon as possible to keep all our friends, family & communities safe, however appreciate not everyone thinks the same.
The idea of a move to NI sounds so exciting!First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!4 -

f0xh0les said:I think a move to NI would be more work for me, but less stress - everyone (old) would be within an hour's drive if there was an emergency, his parents are in their 70s, F-i-L mentioned getting very forgetful, and people getting angry with him for not socially distancing plus he has just had spot of skin cancer removed. - but then again they could happily go on plaguing the life out of me for the next 30 years.
I do not think there is any harm at all in going for the job, it is not a forever thing. It is just another stepping stone. I have no real roots, so it would just be the next fun and thrilling ride to go on. Another bit of the world to explore, although I know that bit of the world anyway.
Today is our 5th Housiversary (yes, that is a real thing). I need to get on with fixing stuff and getting stuff fixed.Just sat outside at the little glass bistro table for 15 minutes and had a cuppa with DH (totally different man with a vaccine in him) in the sunshine.MFW - 01.10.21 £63761 01.10.22 £50962 01.10.23 £39979 01.10.24 £27815. 01.01.25. £17538

Glad he got his jab, hopefully he'll relax a bit now.
Love Belfast, its fast becoming a top city to visit. We live on the north coast now and cant imagine living back in the city again. We also couldn't afford the same lifestyle back in EnglandMortgage start date Nov 2014 - £90,545 over 25 years
Re-mortgage Oct 2017 - 78,295 over 23 years
Re-mortgage Jan 2020 - 55,000 over 26 years @ 1.94%

I think it is more about having options. We cannot ignore the fact they are getting older. Anyway, he has applied - he did not even get to interview stage for the last two he applied for, so it is more an interesting experiment at the minute. He has a headache but is fine.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!
