I suspect my plans for today will be going out of the window a little bit. I have felt ill on and off recently, my stomach hasn't felt very settled and today I just can't get comfortable
looking back through my journal (a definite bonus to keeping it) I first wrote last Sunday that I hadn't felt great for a couple of days, I am back in bed trying to get comfy but nothing seems to be helping. Hopefully it will ease but I think I might need to get in touch with our doctors tomorrow although I have no idea what the procedure is at the moment.

I guess by default today was all about self-care but not in the way I had planned. I have done plenty of sudoku, read a bit, watched some winter sports on tv and eventually after easing my stomach a little with a hot water bottle I managed to go out for an hour's walk up and down on the pavements behind my house which are on a main road where the pavements have a clearing from the snow. I did plan to do loops of my estate but as I turned to walk on the snow straight away it seemed far too strenuous for me. Just been in the shower and am now back on the sofa under a blanket. No baking or nice dinner, baked potato and tuna in the hope it is not too much for my stomach. I will see how I am in the morning, hopefully all will be fine.I have just done a mid month check of my money, I have about £161 not accounted for in my account. I will probably have fuel money left at the end of the month and maybe even some of the spending budget as both are looking really healthy at the moment so there might be a good amount to transfer into savings in two weeks time.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

I thought I was turning a corner today as I felt ok...until after I had my dinner. I am sure I have never felt so rough although my symptoms have lessened ever so slightly. I will definitely be getting in touch with the doctor regardless. The last 10 days might not be related but it is very rare that I am ill and this is definitely not the norm. Hopefully I will be able to sleep.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Do you need a C19 test to be on the safe side? Symptoms can vary dramatically.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

She is puzzled as to what it might be, I am to get in touch if there are any new symptoms over the next couple of days or the heaviness in my stomach doesn't settle by early next week. I asked about a covid test, she said she wouldn't push for one so for now I am just carrying on as I am. I will need to go out for shopping later as I don't have much in now, plain food to try and help things along which probably means no pancakes todayNow I just need to let my line management know as although I am working from home we are potentially doing something on Thursday.Back to online learning for me in the meantime.
