That's not quite accurate, they want all Tories, non-Corbynite Labour and supporters of other political parties to 'render unto Caesar' abundantly and then for Caesar to render it unto them(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Serious question for Ruggedtoast. What do you actually contribute to society? I have no idea what, if any, job you do etc but you seem to spend every minute of every day on here spitting bile about boomers, Tories, home-owners, anyone with a pension, & latterly (quite amusingly) anyone in the Labour party who isn't a communist. So since your so lavish in your criticism of almost everyone else what do you actually do to make the world a better place for others?
I am not sharing the details of my private life with venal Tory voting boomers who have enjoyed a lifetime of unearned privilege and expect a retirement of unfunded patronage from the state.
The first one to give up their winter fuel allowance to the poor may get some credibility. I won't hold my breath.0 -

Toastie's role in life - and the summit of his ambitions - is to spend other people's wealth. He votes Labour because he expects to get paid. He is training himself to feel good about this by demonising and dehumanising the people he wants robbed.
He can't bring himself to disagree with John Prescott that good schools are a "great danger" either.
You need to move on from John Prescott quotes for 2005.0 -

They are not credible policies....they are aspirations.
Jeremy Corbyn is a career politician.....he's been an MP for 32 years. Is that not a career?
Absolute nonsense. I come from a Welsh mining background and grew up in a family which taught me the way to change things was through gaining power at Westminster. Talking about corruption by the way....did you know John McDonnell is presently under investigation for not declaring a 300k donation to his office?
The struggle started on the steeets and then the movement realised the means to power was through the parliamentary route....Kier Hardy etc!
More utter tripe......how can you re-create a movement? sounds very new Model Army and purist nonsense to me. People are different from each other, have different values and aspirations and all you can hope for is a loose coalition of interests in reality.
.
So again I ask how is Corbyn going to change things so that people in lets say the Midlands choose him instead of the tories? Corbyn is a pacifist idiot who would not come to the aid of a NATO ally. The first responsibility of a leader is to protect the nation. Corbyn would lie belly up for the Russians to walk all over him while citing how wonderful it is that South Africa gave up their nuclear weapons. He has no strategy as to what his response would be to a terrorist attack....when asked for his response to the Paris atrocities....he just commented that the police should not have a shoot first policy..........he is a weak, ineffectual surrender monkey!
More right wing ranting. The police shouldn't, and don't, have a shoot first policy. This has been the same in the UK for as long as there has been armed response police units. Throughout the Troubles, 9/11 and 7/7.
No police commissioner ever has asked for a shoot first policy. It was a concoction of the Daily Mail and Cameron's weedling for populist kudos of the hard of thinking.
Looks like it worked on someone.0 -

The thing about the rich entering heaven is about one's ATTITUDE to riches, not about having riches, in fact rich Christians can help the poor precisely BECAUSE they have the wherewithall to do so (similar to what Thatcher said).
Read it in context in Matthew's Gospel:
21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
22 When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had great wealth.
23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
It was the young man's attitude to his wealth, his not wanting to use it to help the poor, that was wrong, not the fact that he was wealthy. When Jesus said that it was hard for the rich to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, he meant that their wealth and possessions often got in the way of doing what was right.
Also, a great many Conservatives are working class and not wealthy!
I find the fact that you appear to be comparing Margaret Thatcher to Jesus somewhat hard to comprehend, although it does rather explain the dwindling Anglican congregations.0 -

I didn't compare Jesus to Thatcher! I was commenting on what she said about one of his parables.(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Ah so you contribute nothing, I suspected as much. Thanks for confirming.0 -
Just as a sideline.....how do you square being a Tory and a Christian....I mean Jesus' message about being selfless,........ the last shall be first in the kingdom of God,........ more likely that a camel will get through the eye of a needle than a rich person enter heaven etc?
Not having a dig....genuinely something I think about myself:)
I remember Thatcher said something to the effect that the good Samaritan could only help the beggar because he/she had resources to do so!
I wonder how Labour voters can sleep knowing that their party created a deficit so big that it will take a minimum of 15 years to clear .....and now all they do is complain about "tory" austerity - you couldn't make it up.Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you.0 -

I pay eye watering amounts of tax. I have also always done large amounts of charitable payroll giving. I sleep peacefully at night tbh.
I bet that toxic toastie is a net taker.0
