    Morning,

    Sunday, already? That came around quick! The weather here is pants, it's chucking down, big change from the sunshine of yesterday.

    Well I'm pleased that we have an unofficial date that we want to aim for to move. It does mean however that I will need to buy a monthly train ticket this month but April will be cheaper.

    Got lots to do today:
    * Food shopping
    * Washing - one load in drier and one load in washer
    * Ironing
    * Meal plan
    * Sort dinner for tonight - Hairy Bikers sausage casserole
    * Get kids organised with homework
    * Wash up
    * Sort lunches for tomorrow

    That should keep me going for a while.

    Back later x

    How exciting to have a move date! Will you move yourself or get help in?
    Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
    Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.

    We got a good quote from a removals company and they're going to pack too, we'll just pack the sentimental and important stuff.

    The house move sounds great, appliances, curtains, hive...

    When we last moved, we did it ALL ourselves. Never again. I was chatting to a fellow at work about it. He reckoned of all the money he spent on moving, stamp duty, solicitors fees and so on, the removals men were the ones who truly earned their fee.

    Dinner done and eaten.
    Lunches made for tomorrow.

    Had a really lovely day and feeling charged for the month ahead.

    Both kids are getting settled for the night.

    We had a long talk with DS tonight, we explained that wer'e not moving just because DD needs a big room and that there's other factors. His gf in her wisdom said 'swop bedrooms with your sister so then you won't need to move' **facepalm**

    Morning,

    Hope everyone is ok today? Very tired today, but on countdown now :D

    Busy week this week, Thursday being the busiest. We have Options evening for DS and Parents evening for DD straight after.

    We also have the structural survey on Wednesday, hoping that it doesn't throw up anything sinister.

    Tomorrow DD is walking to school and Friday she's walking home.

    Finally got round to paying the gas and electric bills, they've gone on the BC. The kids new uniforms will be put on the BC too, so need to look at the budget properly once we're settled.

    This morning I need to get my train ticket and parking, budgeted so doesn't count as a spend. Aiming for a really low spend week.

    Hi Purple. Just read your whole entire thread. What a whirlwind. You had me on the edge of my seat there a few times, especially with the job hunting.

    Best of luck with the move.

    Hope you don't mind if I tag along for the ride, I do admire your motivation and perseverance.

    Fingers crossed that the survey goes well. Is the new house close enough that your DS will still be able to see his gf?

    Will the people buying your house move in on the same day you move out?
