  • Hi Purple. Just read your whole entire thread. What a whirlwind. You had me on the edge of my seat there a few times, especially with the job hunting.

Best of luck with the move.

Hope you don't mind if I tag along for the ride, I do admire your motivation and perseverance.

Hi, Welcome along, the more the merrier, hope I don't bore you too much with my ramblings :D
Fingers crossed that the survey goes well. Is the new house close enough that your DS will still be able to see his gf?

Will the people buying your house move in on the same day you move out?

    Thanks lovely.

No thankfully, his GF is a nightmare and we are hoping it'll fizzle out.

    Good question...i've no idea lol

Thanks hun, I can't wait to get organised properly again.
  • Quick update:

Lunch was a ham/lettuce and coleslaw wrap and a cup a soup, breakfast was courtesy of the company and snacks I brought in from home, apart from some water today has been a NSD as I used my allowance.

DH has emailed our EA to let them know that we are happy to leave a few bits for the buyers if they want them, saves us carting them over to the new place, they replied and said that they've passed the message on.

I'm itching to get moved now! Five weeks to go! Need to/must do the ordering of the kids uniforms this weekend, or we will run out of time.

Hope everyone's Monday is going well?
  • Came home tonight to a letter confirming DD's placement in secondary school :) the school is the one DS is going to once we move, I'm sooo happy. Everything is falling in to place now.

The buyers don't want our old tat, which is fair enough, we'll try and get rid of the bits or take them with us. I'm sure someone will want a free chest freezer.

Meeting a friend on Sunday for lunch, in need of a good catch up.

Holidays booked with both works in readiness for the move.

    Stop the world please!
  • Can you advertise some of the bits you were hoping to get rid of on gumtree or something similar PMo2? You never know, you could make a few ££'s to go towards the move too!

Fingers crossed the next 5 weeks fly by for you. I moved at the end of last year and it had stretched out over about 6 months by the end of it, so I was so eager just to get in and get settled. I'm sure the waiting part is the worst bit!

Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.

The bits we've got left aren't worth selling, so no loss that the buyers don't want them.

So looking forward to moving, mainly just for some time off.

Thanks ladies, the secondary school place for DD was a bit of a worry.
  • Morning,

I think my Fitbit is on its last legs, it's losing time now and only seems to work once it's updated. DH's company gave them all one last year, so he's said I can have that one.

DD is walking to school this morning.

    DS has cadets tonight.

Need to make my lunch this morning, so I avoid the shops at lunchtime.

I also need to send off the acceptance form for DD and the rejection letter for the local secondary school that we'd applied for.
