Morning,
Realised yesterday that Tuesday, I have been in my current job 3 months and no longer on my probabtion, how quick that has flown.
I need to think of what needs doing this weekend, Saturday we are off to visit the new house so need to try and get bits done in between that.
Finances need a tweak I think, need to get some quotes for the gas and electric for the new house at some point.
NSD yesterday, aiming for one today.
Have a great day xx
ETA: has anyone used Moneyhub? It's supposed to be simpler than YNAB. I have downloaded it, just not set it up yet.0 -

Well.....that was an interesting conversation with DS's Year Head on how my son ended up with a C5 detention tomorrow. I can't put it on here but it was rather funny...if you want a giggle, Pm me :rotfl:0

Great news on surviving probation! Have never heard of money hub, do report back when you've had a play.Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.0 -

Thank you
Money hub looks fairly straight forward, bit like a money manager tool. You link it to your bank account and all your transactions appear. It automatically categorises them for you and you can alter them or add new ones to suit.
You also have the 'Goals' option for the month, so this month I have opted to reduce my grocery spending by £25, it tells you how much you spent last month and then how much you have remaining to stay on track for this month.
It also has a spending review, so you can see how much you've spent each month.
It's a 30 day free trial £14.99 per year or £1.99 per month.0 -
Someone up there is definitely watching over me. Finally heard from the Met regarding the other bit of my accident and they've offered me another course
I could cry, I still think about what happened and know it could've been worse.
Will book it tomorrow and another day off. I can then concentrate fully on the house move.0 -

What brilliant news, you must be so relieved to have it dealt with.
I'd love a giggle if you want to pm me the story!0 -
Finally made it to Friday :j
I remembered I haven't done my round up for February, so here goes:
* Moving house is a pain
* Saving money is about finding the right balance (I'm still looking)
* Despite being on MSE for many years, I still need to learn to budget
* Accidents happen, just need to learn from them
* I like my job, think the company will be here for a while
* Keep to £10 spending allowance per week
* Keep taking lunch to work
That's better! Now I can concentrate on March. I need to find my goals for the year so I can repost them to keep me on track.
I've managed 4 NSD's this week, I have only used my allowance which is budgeted for  and as its Friday and I've some left, I'm buying my lunch today, as cheap as possible too.
Four weeks until pay day.
Need to book my course and day off today, going to try and get an 8am slot but will see what's available.
Out tomorrow seeing the house and Sunday we've a 21st lunch to go to, what do you give to someone who's slightly autistic and has a few other problems? I'm edging to £10 in a card.
Right off to get organised, back later.0 -
I like your update, it's so true. It's all about finding the best way constantly. It's not a one and done process. It's easy sometimes to feel like we should have cracked it by now but life's not like that. You figure out one thing and two things change
Here's to a great March for you and yours" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
