    Hi Ave,

    Thanks for popping in :)

It is astounding how much crap you accumilate over the years! To be fair I think the kids have more than DH and me put together :rotfl:
  • Definitely! I only have one little one and he has WAY more *stuff* than me!!!

  • So annoyed! DD just said that her teacher Deputy Head) said to her that as long as DD is part of the school 'your parents have to discuss the move with them'.

How dare she! There is nothing that states we have to discuss the move with them! The form I filled in just asked if we'd discussed it with the school and a yes or no tick box!! The bloody woman, should do her job instead of interfering in something that has nothing to do with her :mad::mad:

Even DS school didn't do that to him, they just asked how the move is going.

    Aaaannnndddd.......BREATHE!!!!!!!

So hang on, you have to tell the school you might be moving? Surely most people 'might' move at some point?? Is this so they can fill the place ASAP? Your daughter isn't in a critical year is she?

  • DD takes her SATs in May and moves to secondary in September. DS takes his Options this year but he's in year 8.

We've always had problems with this particular teacher, when DS was in Year 3, she taught him, he and most of the class ended up going backwards because she was never there, it was a stream of supply teachers.
  • She sounds like a right one, I'd be on the phone in the morning telling them to mind their own, you'll discuss your family's life choices with them as and when they need to know! Cheeky mare...

Very frustrating. Is there a school handbook online so you can check the facts?

  • I'll have a check tomorrow but don't think so. The school website is a bit disjointed so there may be something on there.
