We left a bottle of bubbly for our buyer (our friends mum) when we sold. When I saw her son next, he said it was really appreciated, as was how nice (clean, fresh paint) the house was. It was such an amicable sale and I think these little touches really matter. We're still all friends anyway!
So forgive me for missing this earlier, do you have more than one house? Why are you moving?Debt Jan 2017 = £42kMay 2022 = £15k0 -
Wow I can't imagine my first experience of living away from home being buying a house with someone! That's quite brave!" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

No, we only have this one.
Moving due to lots of factors. DD is growing rapidly and will be in secondary school in September, she has the smallest room that you can't even swing a cat in....1930s house.
Parking here is ridiculous, with neighbours that are equally selfish
Also Southern Rail, it's ludicrous here.0 -

Wow, that's brave! they must be very convinced that they actually like each other.Trying to figure out a whole new life. Trying to figure out a whole new budget.
Divorcing, unclear on final debt total right now, but focusing on building a financial buffer zone.0 -
Thinking about it, it is quite brave as it's quite a commitment both financially and emotionally.
I never thought about it in that way though.
Me and my boyfriend started dating when i was 16, i moved out of my parents house when i was 17 and lived in a bedsit for 9 months ( i couldn't stand living with my sister anymore) and then when i was 18 and he was 20 (: he was still living with his parents) we bought our first house together. fast forward 16 years and we are now married with two kids, so it can work out really well. It was scary though.0 -
YYYYAAAAWWWWNNNN!!!!! Can't believe it's Monday already.
So back to being focussed and aiming for great things this week.
Lunch today is left over roast beef dinner, plus I have £10 spending allowance for the week.
Dinner tonight is fajitas, there may be enough left for one for lunch tomorrow, but doubtful with DH and DS lol
DH emailed the sellers EA to accept the offer of the appliances, we will in turn let our buyers know they can have our bits, they might do them initially until they can buy new.
Need to pay the gas and electric, didn't do that over the weekend, will sort tonight.0 -
Aw thats so nice of you leaving things behind for them

I can't believe how quickly it's all happening - it just seems like a couple of weeks ago that you said you were thinking about moving house. Now it's all coming together, it's so exciting!0

Afternoon,
Well I've made a determined start for March, yesterday and today have been NSD's I know its not March yet, just easing myself in slowly lol.
Both yesterday and today I brought my lunch in from home and have plenty of snacky bits to keep me going and I've taken advantage of the free breakfast and fruit on offer (office perk!)
Had a really early night last night, all 9.30pm of it and this morning I managed to get the washing up done, tidied our bed, quick tidy up in the lounge and brought our washing down.
No news from the Met yet, I'm hoping it's soon as I will need to ring them and tell them we are moving if I don't hear from them.
Hope everyone is ok?0
