    Evening all,

Did lots of dog walking before it got too warm this morning, then out for more walking and a family picnic, followed by an afternoon in the garden. I've definitely exceeded my tv allowance today as watched lots of the Olympics coverage but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

SFD was achieved and nearly 19000 steps :)

Did 2 lots of food shopping today - £170:eek::eek: - although it did include toiletries & some stationery supplies - and 2 bunches of crysanths from a!di @ 1.69ea. Still a massive amount, though. Oh - and it included some supplies ready for DD starting uni.

Food choices have been passable. Not brilliant, but not bad.

Steps are (eta) 9741 with no real exercise undertaken - but I did do a small amount of gardening (weeding & pruning) whilst OH was mowing the front lawn. And 2 hours of ironing (still have about the same left to do)

My mum visited here. She was updating me on a family situation which has turned nasty. Unfortunately I have to be involved as it relates to the death of my uncle and I'm dealing with the estate :( I'm torn between doing the best for my late uncle with his things and not giving a damn as the beneficiary has turned nasty and power-wielding over it all and has thrown things away including an item worth nearly £1000. I shall deal with what I have to deal with paperwork wise but want nothing to do with the aggro :(

Suitcase and vanity case delivered to CS today. Couple of items priced up for next NNS. Box of items scanned in for Ziffit - will hopefully print label tomorrow and take it to PO. Sorted 3 small items for ebay - but haven't listed anything yet. Gave my mum the 2 books - have found another one since which I will pass on to her later in the week.

House needs tidying/ cleaning and then I will start on decluttering more :D

    Morning All

Well I'm back from the caravan - put one load of washing on the line and as I pegged out the last item it started to rain! I think it's stopped now so may try again.

I've had 1 NSD on Saturday and I need to do a bit of shopping today so today won't be either.

    Have a good day all

  • Morning all,

Managed to collect 1 NSD on Sunday. Friday we had dinner out and Saturday was my friends night out which ended up costing a fortune due to taxi emergencies!!

The week ahead looks similar to last week as I anticipate I’ll spend on Friday and Saturday. All set to rack up plenty of NSD’s during the week.

Nearly bought a DAB Radio and a new hat. Probably saved myself £70 in total.

    Have a lovely week everyone.

This happens to me so much it is like it isn't a coincidence.

We went to get DS's school shoes yesterday, they came in at £27.99 and should last all year again. I would rather buy a decent pair and that be it for the year. I went into TX Maxx and got him a water bottle for school for £2.99, but then I ended up spending £17 on things I didn't need, one was a very pretty decorative bowl for £3.99 and I love it and the other was an expensive candle for 1/2 price but still £12.99 - I am scented candle mad but only buy really good ones.

Will pop back later with today's update.

My healthy "actually eating breakfast" plan seemseto be every other day. I'm trying but I just can't entertain the idea of eating when I get up.

I'm about to have a banana and strawberry smoothie (got up at 11am so it counts as breakfast).

My M£10AD total is at £64.38. After a proper sort out of my clothes, I have several dresses that I don't wear ready for a clothes swap thing tomorrow.
I'm £9 over my social life budget (due to unforeseen travel costs and ordering extra coffee due to being stranded) so I've challenged myself to only spend my £6 in clubcard vouchers on food shopping this week. (Hopefully I can make up some of the difference.)

My screen time effort is terrible but my FB time has been cut waaaaay down... I guess I'm averaging around an hour-ish a day.

Surrounding myself with great people is doing wonders for my mental health. Tomorrow night is the (planned) pub quiz night and as I'm already over budget, I'm hoping to resist even having a soft drink and see if I can stick to tap water.

I'm still alcohol free this month. I've really taken to iced coffee as an alternative and have made a batch to enjoy at home (super savvy, right?) I've "saved" about £15 by not drinking which I'm quite proud of, given that I'd usually have a glass of wine at every opportunity available. Haha!

I'm going to call Eon as I can't eeem to work out our annual usage (to enter into MSE energy calculator). Hoping we can save more by switching.

Hope your Monday is marvellous so far. X

Didn't get a chance to post yesterday but it was a NSD. On a late shift today so had much needed lie-in and went to the gym. It will be another NSD but used up the last of the fruit and almost out of milk so will definitely need to go to the shop tomorrow.

    Afternoon all
Finally managed to bag a second nsd yesterday. Today, not so unfortunately. I had a physio appointment plus there was a household crisis as we had started to run out of golden freezer food. So I've been to Icyland and stocked up on all the favourites that are golden in colour, and I've also done a bit of healthy batch cooking, which I'm really pleased with.
I've finally tackled a couple of bags/corners of doom, where stuff gets dumped and forgotten about. And I also phoned a mortgage broker (thanks for the encouragement on here). He's busy looking through my credit reports and is going to phone me back. I won't hold my breath that I'll get a remortgage but I don't suppose I have anything to lose by trying.
DS has asked me to make him a shark blanket. I went to a craft fair yesterday and was gobsmacked to see them for sale at £45. I spent £6 in £land on wool for him which will be more than enough plus a couple of bits from my stash - ok it's cheap wool but it will do for him. I think I should go into business and retire from teaching... :D

Cleared out a long ago biscuit tin that had been storing all my old Gameboy stuff today and took the games to a local retro game shop. Luckily I had a few pokemon games that have increased in value so was hoping for £20 and that's what they gave me. Now I have an empty tin, more space and a bit of wonga to start the month with :)
