It's time to batten down the hatches. I've done a summary of all my spending and although I haven't been frivolous, I have again under budgeted for everything so I am now pretty broke. I have enough money for petrol, most of the food I need until payday and so will just sit and wait out the month. I have a book to read, school work to get ahead with and decorating if I get really bored so should be able to occupy myself for two weeks!LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Hi All
Slow day here. Managed an hours work this morning whilst DD napped.
Still back and forthing on the new mortgage. Not happy at all. Surveyor wont budge on wrong valuation which is very annoying. Broker is trying to sort something out now but with completion aiming for the 11th I am very unoptimistic. Had the £300 extra go out today so our account is now looking very bare.
Ate up a portion of chilli that was sitting in the fridge for lunch along with some home made coleslaw. Mr T vouchers came today so that was £4 to put towards the shopping.
Took the kids out to the park for an hour and a half. Found 5p on the way.
Son is out tommorow for the morning with a friend. So I may try and do something myself then. There are a few Mum friends who just have small babies that I might be able to go and see if its just me and the little one. She turned 10 months yesterday which is scary as I just dont know where that time has gone.

Finally managed to bag a second nsd yesterday. Today, not so unfortunately. I had a physio appointment plus there was a household crisis as we had started to run out of golden freezer food. So I've been to Icyland and stocked up on all the favourites that are golden in colour, and I've also done a bit of healthy batch cooking, which I'm really pleased with.
I've finally tackled a couple of bags/corners of doom, where stuff gets dumped and forgotten about. And I also phoned a mortgage broker (thanks for the encouragement on here). He's busy looking through my credit reports and is going to phone me back. I won't hold my breath that I'll get a remortgage but I don't suppose I have anything to lose by trying.
DS has asked me to make him a shark blanket. I went to a craft fair yesterday and was gobsmacked to see them for sale at £45. I spent £6 in £land on wool for him which will be more than enough plus a couple of bits from my stash - ok it's cheap wool but it will do for him. I think I should go into business and retire from teaching...
Good luck with the remortgage Cat. Pleased you are tackling it." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Well done.
After shouting at the kids at the top of my lungs about their xbox arguments I told them to get dressed ready for a day outside. I washed all the windows and frames and they have weeded, pruned, trimmed and swept in the garden. Gave them lunch then later we went to the park and I got them a McFlurry as a treat on the way. Went blackberrying when we got home.
Made sausage ratatouille with rice for tea.

Happy Monday Turtles!
How are we all doing? Well done to those that managed to get a little bit organised or sort something that was overdue, every little helps and sometimes we just need a different reason or excuse to do something.
My weekend was spent organising enjoying time with my friends and de-cluttering my super ice box of beer. Also de-cluttered some of my skin of white bits, lol
Seriously though, although my camping gear had a bit of an overhaul already this year, there are other things I now know I need to sort/replace/improve. I was like a little travelling camp shop with my friends, everything they needed or had forgotten, I seemed to have.

Am declaring today a NSD - have no intention of going anywhere so that should be a safe declaration!
Well after waking around 7.20 yesterday I thought I'd end up with a slightly early night... no.... I was up until 1am (wide awake) and then went to bed and got to sleep at almost 4.30am! - OH then woke me up at just before 11.30am - oops! And I'm still tired
Stuff - Have boxed up another load of stuff for Ziffit. That one and yesterday's are now labelled and will go to the Collect + shop tomorrow. I may even manage a 3rd one by then tooHave also priced some books from DS1 for the next NNS and have a pile to ebay. OH's new shorts (purchased on holiday) have a hole in the rear so have been added to the bag of items to recycle at H&M and get a voucher (will spend on the children) Have 2 bags of CDs and DVDs which Ziffit didn't want for the CS tomorrow. Realised I bought a duplicate of an item so will return that tomorrow. May even get around to returning the unused currency as well
Very lazy day here - we are all still struggling with time difference and appetite and energy levels are both low. I have cleaned some of the kitchen (deep clean) - more to do tomorrow, along with tackling the pit which is DS3's bedroom (he is also doing it)
Have added a few £ to my piggy bank in shrapnel change. Not sure what this is for now (was originally towards mtge and the Florida fund) - I need to check out all of our finances and set some second half year targets. I may make it towards the BTL mtge

I'm just plodding along.
However today I had my diabetic review with the practice nurse. All my figures are good and best of all, she weighed me and I seem to have lost 11lb in about 4 and a half weeks (since july 7th.). So aggressive walking strategy and doing my best to resist 'bad' food is working, just need to keep at it.
Visited mum (over my screen hours today as overdosed on Sharpe and Monkey World whilst there) and have dozed since I got home.
Today I am grateful for quick appointments, for the RVS shop and for lovely weather. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Here is a quote from my favourite Turbulance Trainer leader:
Say NO to taking on too much. Stop making too many commitments, putting other people’s projects in front of your own priorities, and refusing to block off time for your family and your health. Over-extending yourself hurts everyone and takes away from your BIG impact. It's OK to say NO. You must make the right decisions for YOU and your family. Doing more doesn't always mean doing better, and doing better doesn’t always require that you do more.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Good quote apple, hope you and your mum are ok.
Today I'm intending on having another fairly quiet day. I'm nursing some injuries from trampolining at the weekend (my body is much older than I felt on the trampoline) and two huge mosquito bites which have become infected. Luckily I already have a doctors appointment today so will get a second opinion.
Hope you all have a good dayLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)
