Will Britain really leave EU?

The EU wants free movement, why would it reform it.
Because a lot of resentment against EU (in other EU countries) is against immigration. There is a chance that other countries might also leave EU. By curbing free movement of people EU has a better chance to survive.Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.0 -

You really don't understand the concept of a single market do you?“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

A hard Brexit in 2019 with a catastrophic recession followed by an election in 2020 would lead to the Tories being out of power for a generation.
They won't risk it.
May has done the right thing putting the Brexiteers in charge of negotiations.
When they fail to get the impossible deals they've promised the grown ups can come in and clean up their mess.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

a 'single market' has nothing to do with the free movement of people; it is only the EU that insists on free movement (at least for the time being).0 -

Are you wishing that on us?
Do you have a crystal ball?0 -
The UK is the EU's biggest customer - there is plenty of reason for them to negotiate rather than (try to) dictate.0

Not sure what you're getting at here. Are you suggesting that we will leave and then almost immediately go crawling back to rejoin?0 -
I hope the EU sticks to their guns and insists on no access to the single market without accepting the four key freedoms. We'll then be forced to either go it alone (very difficult) or go for something that's called Brexit but isn't what those who voted for it because they don't like "people not from around here" really wanted.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -
It is time to accept the fact that Brexit may never actually happen
http://uk.businessinsider.com/brexit-economic-consequences-may-never-happen-2016-7The more time goes by, the more plausible it becomes that the UK may never actually leave the European Union.
Leaving the EU is so difficult, and the consequences are so economically damaging, that it may be easier for prime minister Theresa May's government to endlessly delay the process rather than to actually leave. On those assumptions, May's government is heavily incentivised to drag its feet over the Leave negotiations. It would be much easier for the Tories to be seen to be negotiating an exit, while not actually exiting, than actually leaving Europe. Especially when 2020 comes around. (And especially when there is a loophole in Article 50 that lets us back in with no consequences.)Don't blame me, I voted Remain.0 -
