  • Just spoken to Barclays. They are saying that there have been any payouts from Barclays yet. I mentioned that there are people on MSE website claiming they had received payment from Barclays and she stated this cannot be true as Barclays won't payout until they have spoken to administrators.
  • I've contacted MSE in order to seek help for chasing up Barclays. I suggest everyone else do the same. Let's try to get some focus on this. Barclays not being very helpful compared to other banks.
  • I spoke to Barclay's visa dispute team last night and mentioned that at least 2 people I had heard have been refunded. He said that they must have put the claim in before me. No mention of not paying anyone yet. They are just messing us around.

    I have also emailed MSE to ask the same.
    I do not understand why Barclays are concentrating on lch administrators if the merchant acquirer is responsible for refunding direct debit chargeback; do they know what they are doing?

    I think a few have slipped through the filter & have been paid, this happened with PayPal refunds, reports of a few people getting a full refund after ten days had elapsed, the rest of us were put on hold and were refunded just for the elements we had lost.

    First report of money being taken back on the LCH Facebook page. Lady with The Halifax.

    What I really don't understand is why they can't issue a formal statement saying what they are doing. Even if they can't guarantee a positive outcome, not managing expectation does causes a lot of stress in the long run.

    I hope they pull their fingers out soon, but it looks like they do have more cases than any other bank.

  • Looks like I have been fobbed off by Barclays in the branch and they are just making it up as they go along. I will be going bank in for a face to face discussion with the manager but will also request Barclays help from MSE.

    I totally agree with what you say here ,surely all banks have a code of practise for these issues when they evolve ,they should all have the same hymn sheet so to speak stating how long a claim/chargeback should take ,When i first contacted Paypal they intially said it will take around 10 days but then as some people starting putting in fraudulent claims this changed to up to 30 days which was fine in the end for me and i was paid 24 days after the claim i hope you all get your money back soon.

    Just got my money back in my account from L.C.H. booking that was for October.
    This was paid on my Debit card in full for all inclusive accommodation.
    The Cooperative bank reimbursed me in 2 weeks from my initial phone call.
    They sent a letter in the post to me, I filled it in and sent it back and paid... simples...:)

  • Has anyone had their money back from TSB yet? I had an email last week saying I now have a 45 day wait, yet the money is already in my bank, so I'm slightly confused. Also I'm worrying that they'll take it out again, despite sending all the proof of bookings I had.
