Seriously fed up now! My holiday date has been and gone, I am fast losing faith in the bank's intention to return my 2.5k to me (so that I can book up a holiday for my family next year instead) and I have now resorted to checking my bank balance a hundred times a day! I'm also highly irritated by FaceBook posts of sunshine & sparkling seas. This is all very 'out of character' for me. LCH has turned me into an obsessive, angry madwoman!

Which bank? Hang in there, they can only be half way through all the claims by now, maybe less.

Well it will be day 23 tomorrow Natalie what day are you up to now ,and i wonder if its all resolved within the 30 days like i posted from their site in a earlier thread (paypal) unless its a complex case then it takes longer .

23 here too, had to wait till the Monday to find out the insurance wasn't worth the edoc it was written on.

Hang on 21st century problem, is an edoc worth more than paper or does it depend on how old your device is?!

I was on Holiday when LCH went bust, the Hotel dropped the price to £340 as I paid LCH £438. I waited for my insurance company to tell me I was not covered, then requested a chargeback on my Visa Debit card through Halifax. My flights and Transfers were seperate.

Oh god that must of been terrible for you. That was very kind of the hotel. I hope you get ur money back very soon. I've had the opposite experience the hotel I booked were charging me an extra £300 for half board when I originally paid full board . But I've had to pay the extra cuz my kids really wanted to go there as they've been looking forward to it as its their first time abroad

Mine does cover insolvency, just not of a booking agent it turned out. Oh I am fed up of small print, although being able to enlarge it on a screen does make it easier to read these days

I may be having a minor meltdown this evening... :rotfl:
  • I have still nothing from Nationwide original claim went in on 18/07 and subsequently all supplementary evidence has been submitted
