But it's the not noing that's driving everyone safy
Well, just to give you some info on my claim mentioned above.
I put the claim in & got acknowledgement that they'd received it and would process it.
A couple of months later I got an email informing me that the money had been paid back into my account. I don't think any bank or card issuer will tell you in advance whether or not your claim is valid and will be paid.Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -
Ok thanks for that. In just not that patient kind of person I like things to happen ASAP. What I can't understand is they no lch have gone into administration so why are they working with lch when they should be on there customers side. We can give them all the proof they need there's nothing lch can give them
To prove our claims are valid. It seems like they are using stalling tactics and even trying to persuade us to make a chargeback claim from our banks and the reason for this is because they cannot cope with the sheer amount of claims they are dealing with.,they need to start pushing these claims through cuz we could be waiting patiently for the claim to be rejected because they have no funds to pay us. I though it was PayPal that would pay is but they've. Said today they are waiting for lch to refund us the money which is not going to happen0 -
I was referring to Visa chargeback, not Paypal, I don't have any experience of their processes, sorryChange is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0

Those who paid by Paypal please share their experience here as well: https://disqus.com/home/discussion/channel-lowcosthols/low_cost_holidays/0

Hi, was this on their debit card or credit card please? Well done anyway!0

since LCH dont have any staff left paypal certainly arent working with them, what they mean is they will be working with the administrators.
Its why Chargeback is a very good idea for these claims, LCH would have to dispute the chargeback within 60 days, there is no one there who could dispute the claims0 -
Yes they are working with the administrators. I can do a chargeback I've already asked my bank. Because it was PayPal that actually took the money for my bank I have to go through paypal0

Pleased to say I have received a full refund from Barclays Bank via chargeback! (paid by debit card). They took details of my claim over the phone and then sent me a form to complete which asked for proof of LCH purchase. Sent this off and whilst on holiday (having paid again at the hotel reception when I arrived) had the refund back in my account. All in all took around 7 days! Thank you Barclays and Martin for the chargeback advice!!0

Those of us who paid with PayPal were initially told that if we raised a dispute and escalated it to a claim straight away that there would be no one at LCH to dispute it and we would get an automatic refund once ten days had passed. Unfortunately it does now look like the administrators are now fulfilling that role so it remains an unresolved dispute. I would assume this is also possibly the same for Visa, Mastercard and Amex chargebacks, so there is still someone who could dispute it I'm afraid as the administrator is now responsible for running the company till it is officially liquidated.0 -
That is exactly right Natalie. You seem to no a lot of what the protocol is. How does it work. PayPal said to me today they were in talks with the administrators to try to get our money back. But if there wasn't money to get back would it then be down to PayPal to pay us out in which case the women replied to me no PayPal will not be is during any refunds to us..so I said well we no there's no money to get off lch so why are you in talks with the administrators . The women said they are trying to get our money back for us. I really honesty feel hand on heart we are not going to get any money back from PayPal. Infact they've told me twice to pursue a chargeback from my bank0
