My solution for kids leaving shampoo/conditioner in the bottle (raised 6 kids so that may put me at [STRIKE]insane[/STRIKE] pro level) was to not buy any more until it was all used up. They even learned to add a bit of water to get the last bits out. :D

GQ - I had a post-travel migraine at the weekend. Usually dealt with by taking paracetamol and ibuprofen with a cup of coffee before it gets too bad. After 20 minutes I can then drink water and sleep (mine are usually caused by dehydration). This time there was no milk, so I didn't drink coffee. Kept taking pills and drinking water until Sunday morning when I gave in and drank the coffee with almond milk. 20 minutes later I was able to sleep and a couple of hours later I was back to normal, with just the 'migraine hangover' feeling. So it might be worth adding some caffeine into the mix if the parrots aren't working.

As for the sparrows - they're getting pretty rare, so you might be better off with starlings. There seem to be plenty of those around!

Glad the discussions about what to call the various threads is over now, as it was getting decidedly B-Arkish in tone. :)

Poking my head round to have a look

My eldest officially finishes full time education in August so come 1st September there will be quite a significant difference in benefits / tax credits.

We have been preparing for this for a few months now and so the transition shouldn't be too difficult financially but interesting times are ahead in the next couple of months :)

:p Unhh, migraine aura abating and have a bit of a sick headache but not the full nine yards. I can normally stop a migraine if I can get painkillers down my neck when I see the aura, but I still feel a bit fragile for a few hours.

Tiredness is the trigger in my case and I was starting to fall over my own words just after lunch time (since I'm paid to talk to people, this isn't ideal, lol). Will be resting and having an early night.

:D Oh, and about a gallon of tea as soon as Nursie gets off her backside and starts to minister to my needs.

Nurse? NURSE!!!!!!!! I said 'administer' not defenestrate, FGS! Aieeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:eek::eek:

:) On and off the landline with friends and family, poking around on t'interweb, gonna cook something and reading a thriller set in Elizabethan England.

I could be doing some ironing or mending but my head hurts too much for close work.

Cbrown it's interesting you say that, as I did an experiment last year where I only used water for two months. Although my hair looked ok, I found it smelt a bit like a wet dog when I got caught in the rain! It maybe because my hair is quite long? Anyway I went back to the (shampoo) bottle!

Ah, mine is short, think Judi Dench, fingers through the hair no need to dry. I do usually put some sort of bubble bath in my bath ranging from Badedas to Tesco cheapie so if I'm dunking my head in the bath I guess it takes on the smell of the bubble bath.
Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama ;)

Being defenestrated won't have helped your headache, GQ. Good thing you live on the ground floor! Get well soon, and tell Nursie to get back in the airing cupboard or wherever she hangs out atm. x
