Channeling your inner Patsy? or is it Edina?
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

I haven't used shampoo or conditioner on my hair for at least three years! Had what I thought was a frozen shoulder and couldn't get my arm up to put the shampoo in my hair so just stopped. I just dunk my head in water every few days and leave to dry. I hadn't used shampoo for at least a year before I told my hairdresser and she was shocked when I told her as it doesn't feel in the least bit dirty and is very soft and in good condition. Quite a money saver :D

Ah, mine is short, think Judi Dench, fingers through the hair no need to dry. I do usually put some sort of bubble bath in my bath ranging from Badedas to Tesco cheapie so if I'm dunking my head in the bath I guess it takes on the smell of the bubble bath.

I found something simular, so I only use water most of the time and maybe once a month use a tiny amount of shampoo just for the scent lol.

TBH I tend to just use a tiny bit of the kids shampoo.

Mind you even the kids don't use lots of shampoo and every other time just wet their hair down.

I found my hair got greasy so easily that even when I got to the stage of washing everyday it was greasy by the evening so I stopped using it. I had about two weeks of it looking greasy (but no more than it did by about the 5th day), then it started drying up. Been fine every since and its been years now.

Saves money, better for the enviroment and my skin so win win :)

Edit just realised the post I quoted didn't come through, just for reference was referring to the earlier posts on hair washing not the tory leadership race lol

Think it was my posts Ali that you were talking about?

maryb, no need for you to be sorry, you were only doing what had been suggested on the old thread and it was/is appreciated.
Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama ;)

I found a brilliant birthday card for a friend and I'm nicking the caption for my signature since it seems so appropriate for a prepper

I've taken the very difficult decision and closed the two prepping based threads.

A lot has happened and I think we need to let the dust settle for a few hours

Please vote here for the desired outcome for the new thread

I've devised some hopefully pleasant and fair guidelines for the new thread. Please if you have any thoughts, post in the vote thread

i look forward to opening the new thread and harmony being restored

Remember, i'm just a girl sitting on the outside of this chewing her nails, trying to do the best most fair thing

    Happy saturdays
