I found something simular, so I only use water most of the time and maybe once a month use a tiny amount of shampoo just for the scent lol.

TBH I tend to just use a tiny bit of the kids shampoo.

Mind you even the kids don't use lots of shampoo and every other time just wet their hair down.

I found my hair got greasy so easily that even when I got to the stage of washing everyday it was greasy by the evening so I stopped using it. I had about two weeks of it looking greasy (but no more than it did by about the 5th day), then it started drying up. Been fine every since and its been years now.

Saves money, better for the enviroment and my skin so win win :)

    Ali x

Edit just realised the post I quoted didn't come through, just for reference was referring to the earlier posts on hair washing not the tory leadership race lol

    One more thought.....

I close this one and "you guys" move to it and call it something like "Not the preppers thread but the other one". Then both threads of conversation can continue, new people can join if they feel so inclined and i can link from this one to the new one... .

Let me know, it doesn't feel like something i should just do as i would hate to upset anyone but would like to try keep everyone happy. This is the best idea i can come up with

    Zip

Talking about getting confused... i didnt mean to suggest to close this one. I meant the long one so a new "long" one could be opened and keep everyone happy.

Gosh i just dont know what to do!

Exactly. This was what I think people intended.
    Prepping part 2! :D

That's what has happened to other threads e.g. Preparing for Winter, why not for this one?

Or am I missing something crucial :(

Yes, the emotions involved and the amount of upset people there are , all for different reasons. I'm enquiring about the "rules" on max posts now because it doesn't seem as if the diplomatic approach is for everyone

Oh poor Zippychick I am so sorry.

    what a mess!

There were a few people who said they were prompted by the setting up of this thread to start thinking about prepping, so can I ask them if they would like it to be part of a bigger group going forward? There are some prolific posters with interesting things to say such as Grey Queen who has said she doesn't have the time to post on two threads.

  • One possible way forward is to lock both the old thread and this continuation thread and start a totally new thread altogether - with links back to both threads.

Zippychick seems to me to be the appropriate person to do this - rather than any individual (be they a poster on the old thread, the new thread or both).

I'm certainly finding it confusing to have both threads running at once.

No, I have not missed the emotions involved or how upset people have been because I was one of them!

This is also why I think the thread should be closed but did not want to cite emotional reasons because I thought that would be very selfish of me.

I thought a new start for everyone would be best and accepted an apology gladly. Just my opinion.

Ack love, my post maybe read as blunt, genuinely wasn't meant to be. I hope you're ok now.

My head's spinning! I'll see what comes back from my enquiry about maximum posts

Maybe the team would see fit to close both - i can see the merits of both being open, but also the downsides so it's a tricky one
