Trouble is, it's hard to find because even if you look at the smaller news pieces they're all about the Tory leadership campaign or the Wales/Portugal match.
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

Reminds me of the Grace said before Urologists' dinners

Look down on us, Oh Lord Divine
Who turned the water into wine
Take pity on these foolish men
About to turn it back again

The water isn't poisonous, but it tastes vile.

Although not as bad as the water at home, which I have to filter to make coffee, otherwise it makes me gag.

Much safer to stick to wine...

Some better news (I think so at any rate) is that the NHS care.data scheme has been quietly dropped, albeit after them having wasted £7.5 million on it (this was on the Telegraph website).

half the population in the Middle Ages must have been permanently pie-eyed from drinking beer because they couldn't safely drink water.

That's the origin of the term'small beer' SLIGHTLY less alcoholic beer brewed for women and children:eek:

That's great news. Thanks for sharing!

(Given the difficulties the NHS has sharing data internally at times, I'd have been amazed if this had worked. My dad, who is a retired GP has just made the comment that 'it would be pretty unreliable anyway')

GQ I only have an automatic licence. Dh used to complain that automatic cars used more fuel but I don't think that's true anymore. We live in the London suburbs and frankly with all the stop start driving an automatic is easier.

Reason I have an automatic licence is that I was unfortunate enough to have a cowboy driving instructor working for one of the big driving schools. I didn't know at the time they were self employed. He obviously thought I was a safe source of income.

I had a test date booked and he told me the week before he thought I would need at least another 10 lessons. I thought s0d this, went out and booked three lessons on an automatic and passed my test first time!

I always meant to retake it but never got round to it And I was worried if I failed the manual test, would they take away my automatic licence
