    Some will. Most won't.

That's always been the case, particularly when there's been free movement.

If you've got kids in school here the liklihood of you upping sticks is low.

Other things such as family, friends, spouse will anchor you to a particular country more often than not. I can speak from some experience here.

It'll most likely be single people, no dependants who are most likely to make the move, and unless they're lucky they're unlikely to be at the higher end of their career scale. Generally the higher you get the more anchors you put down within the country.

We're talking about entire industries moving countries here. If my industry goes away then I'll have no choice but to move (hopefully to Bavaria) with my family. At least my kid won't be in school before this all happens.

I'm also not convinced that the more you make the more likely you are to be rooted, beyond a certain point. People making 6+ figures are going to be in the best position to move, and are the ones we can least afford to lose.

Less than 52% are currently happy, a lot of Leavers seem quite upset about the realisation of what they've done, and that they've been lied to.

Once the remaining Leavers realise that nothing will change about EU law or foreigners, the excrement will really hit the fan.

Equally a lot of Remainers seem quite happy that things are not as bad as they expected. It's possible thst a second referendum would lead to an even bigger Leave vote.

    Evidence?

Banks are already talking about moving thousands of staff. France & Germany are positioning to take our investment banking over and denying the city passport.
Research grants are being pulled from the UK.

What about the rush on Irish Passports?

Have you got any evidence that jobs are going to stay in the UK, or that we'll somehow generate more of them?

I have a lot more customers in the EU than in the UK, and we visit a lot of them in person. There's no reason for us to be based in the UK rather than the EU.

I can see where Yolina is coming from.
Italian woman who has been living in the UK for 30-odd years on LBC yesterday, completely in tears because some brexiteer shouted at her to pack her bags, Polish people being attacked on buses, vandalising their cultural centres, Lihtuanian waitresses being taunted with 'why are you smiling, we're sending you home!' (she probably had a good cry behind the counter afterwards).
This used to be a tolerant country. Not anymore I'm afraid.
Yes, I know not all brexiteers are racists bladibla.... but remember, these are your bedfellows. I hope you can put the genie back in the bottle.

All decent people condemn racism and mindless attacks on foreigners.
sadly it has happened before and sadly it will happen again.

the UK is a very tolerant and accepting country and its absurd and to say otherwise even if it suits your political agenda to spread hatred and dissent.

It is no more rational to generalise from the 7/7 attack as it is to generalise from a insult to a Polish person except it suits your own political agenda.

we have a cabal of IRA lovers heading the labour party, but no-one decent would generalise that to suggest that all labour supporters also support the IRA or that democracy should be suspended.

Basically you don't like the result of the referendum and seek to spread hatred and malice.

Its not as if you believe in unlimited immigration anyway.

It's possible, but I've not heard of a single person moving from Remain -> Leave.

That said, this is all speculation; we've still got no idea what's going to happen.

Oil price is trending upwards and £:$ hasn't been lower since around March 1986. I've polished my rose tinted glasses but I'm struggling with the positive in that.

Well high oil price is good for Scotland and a weaker pound is good f for exporters so I'm guessing someone somewhere is happy :)

The question has been asked and answered. Any new referendum will relate to the terms of leaving and, of course, all the remainiacs will get a say.

do some research and find out how many jobs have been lost in the UK banking sector over the last 10 years and how many moved offshore: and please don't tell me they had anything to do with brexit.

My stocks and shares ISA has gained £2k this week due to the pound going down.

I can't think of anything else positive to say about this.

I knew you were going to say that about people earning vast amounts. This is obviously true that they're more mobile, however positions paying these amounts are limited. The very top of the trees in every industry have always moved about, when they resign or when they get sacked they're more able than most to go elsewhere, regardless of visa / movement restrictions. But those further down the line, the senior managers, the hands-on skilled workers who are on less than 6 figures but at the upper end of the 5 figure scale will be less likely to move than those on 6 figures.

If industries move away from the UK then of course those jobs will go - and those people may do too unless other opportunities arise. Your original post suggested these people will leave on mass. I don't think so, in terms of brain draining I feel that we (the UK) have been doing that to the EU, particularly the smaller countries in the EU, for decades.
