Mostly relaxing, but not spend free day. Had a couple of planned spends - physio (essential for me to keep walking) and naughty tortie is at the vet again. Yes, she that cost me £1600 with a broken leg last summer and £500 on dental treatment the summer before is currently undergoing another £500 of dental treatment. She's overnight at the vet tonight but that's down to something with them so I'm not paying for that, but everything else £££££.
Starting to feel normal again, but I am really tired. More rest required before I'll be up to doing anything much...

Another NSD here, think I'm on 9 now. Got my free coffee from Paperchase and a sample of body sorbet from the Body Shop. Oh and I found 13p :)

    Hi All
Late one from me again. Honestly dont know where my week is going.
Highlights - Another ebay sale (£6) & another private sale (£6) today.
CB was in my account early which helps bridge the weekend gap before our rental goes in monday.
Mega highlight - Got an amazing enquiry today for September for a week long arts hire. It made me feel deliriously happy. I so hope it comes off. If it does it will cover my months rent!

Annoyances - remortgage free legals are a pain in the butt. Id use my own solicitors in a heartbeat had the freeness not been foisted upon us. Duplicate paperwork, nit picking ughhh..

To end well, a lovely evening was had. Netflix. A candle in my beautiful wombled lantern. And a chicken salad with jps. Yum.

    Bob

    Morning all,

Spendy day yesterday as needed food for another fuddle as it was the last day of term. Also ended up going for three lots of drinks after work and dinner, although if I hadn't been so keen to come home and let the dogs out at the end of the evening, it would have all been paid for by generous others. First round was bought by a friend and the next two by people I met at an event yesterday and then I paid for my dinner as needed to rush off but as I was leaving another friend apologised and said they were intending on paying for everyone and id paid for my own. Couldn't believe how lovely people are but also kind of glad I paid my own way.

Today will be very spendy, morning in the beauticians in preparation for being bridesmaid tomorrow and a pre wedding meal with the bride tonight :)

I also need to clean the house as have a dog sitter coming in for the day tomorrow.

Suppose I'd better get on with it! Have a great day all.

Thank you for the replies. Indeed, EE, there is an 'issue'. Not worth going into, and far too complex to make sense when written out, I was just wondering what people thought. And we are all influenced by who we know, and how they drive, and there is no one rule that fits everybody.

In the past I have known relatives of said driver to speak/write to GP to explain the problem and then the GP calls driver in for health check and casually mentions that they must stop driving due to health.

As a GP is in a position of authority driver usually listens to them.

Or if they are from a more rural area do they have a local policeman that you could speak to who might be able to have a quiet word?

    Morning all,

Not a NSD yesterday as I got some bits and bobs when picking up things for fajita night (costs covered), but they were essential.

I've set myself my own little challenge of spending no more than £87 on my card and some cash I have between now and payday. If I manage it, I've broken my own record for having the most amount of money in my account on the day of payday. All thanks to YNAB. Anyway, I say this as I anticpate a spendy weekend so need to keep a lid on it.

Apple - Sorry, but i don't think age is the issue it's more the ability of the person driving. My gran is 82 and still driving but she knows her own ability and won't drive at night or busy times or motorways, just short trips to the shops and back.
FMess - Enjoy yourself tonight and tomorrow. Hope you have a wonderful day :)

    Thanks speky and calling

I could get used to this, spent two and a half hours in the beauticians today and feel quite prepped now. This was also my treat for finishing the end of term and all my exam marking. Now I'm just chilling in the garden under the parasol.

I've also come up with a plan to stop myself having to spend about £600 related to the building work I'm having done. It wasn't my idea but made complete sense when my friend suggested it, so I'm really chuffed :)
