Yey to overpayments Calling & £600 savings Fmess
Today has been an interesting day. Had an initial consult with a business coach who certainly asked some very searching and challenging queations. I felt utterly drained afterwards. But she saw the heart of my situation in about 5 moves. Super impressive if rather terriying.

I'll take anything you throw at us bob!
I did a good cupboard-filling shop at aldee today. Then realised that we are going away to my sister's on Monday. I foresee lots of chopping and freezing of veg!
Fmess - have a great weekend.
Thank you for the comments about older drivers. It has to be done on an individual basis, I guess, and it does seem unfair to foist it on someone. EE, I don't personally know the doctors, as we live 150 miles away. One parent is still capable of bus catching and walking, the other would be distraught at not being able to drive as that would remove all independence and effectively start a rapid decline.
Enough of my cheeriness! Dd has finally broken up so here beginneth the hols.

Today was unfortunately not a NSD. My OH is ill and he is the sort of person who would stagger into work on a broken leg insisting he's fine, so that fact he's had the last three days off work is a sign he is REALLY ill, so he asked for a dessert so I got him some treats. He gave me most of the money back in change for my sealed pot so I only spent 52p.
Have done a 3k jog today and yesterday and on today's jog I shaved about a minute and a half off my time yesterday, so that makes me feel epic. Tomorrow I plan on doing a 5k jog. I don't think I have the time to do the Park Run that is local to me as we are celebrating my in laws 40th Anniversary tomorrow, so I may just jog around the streets.
I am up for a weekend challenge.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020

Definitely not a nsd for me today. The vet bill was an eye watering £496.77. I have put it on the emergency credit card, and now have to pay it back off again asap. So I'm up for a weekend challenge for sure. Not giving up

Morning Turtles
This weekends challlenge is to:
1. Check your rates. On any savings accounts, investments or debts. When did you last do this? If its been a while this could save you/make you money instantly. Check with Martin what the top paying accounts are right now or indeed the longest 0% cards and get going now on moving them.
2. Reduce, recycle, repurpose. You know your own home best. Where can you reduce the items in it? This could apply to a fridge review, making an effort to use up the half empty jars of pesto, tomato puree, anchovies, whatever cost you money and is sitting unused get it sorted!
Recycle, I am getting rid of all my old Lonley Planet guides at the moment to the charity shop. I take a few every weekend as they are heavy and I am on bike or foot. I have held onto them through several rounds of Minsgame for emotional reasons but no longer feel attached to them.
Repurpose - What do you have in your home that could usefully do another job if it is currently sitting around not being used?
3. Do just 10 minutes of something you have procrastinated over for too long. Whatever it is, set a timer and go for it!
Right all have a great weekend!

Cheers for the weekend challenge Bob. I'm on with decluttering now so that's good for me.

Thanks for the weekend challenge
I've nipped into the bank this morning to change my address - something I've been meaning to do for weeks. I've also taken a bag of things from the old flat to the charity shop.
Yesterday was a NSD, today I've bought sealant for the bathroom tiles and some cleaning products. Just heading to meet my gran for lunch then work for a late shift. Hope everyone is having a good Saturday.Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500 1.8.25 - £106,362.86
