Bob my sister goes to that and loves it.
A NSD yesterday so that takes me up to 7, really need to up my game if I'm going to make my target of 15.
Oh really, yes it was starting to get very popular even back then. I think it is the best kind of class for getting you very fit very quickly. Well done on your 7 NSDs still a fab number!apple_muncher wrote: »Yikes! to the sink hole, bob. Going via London Bridge was one of my travel options for going to Birmingham tomorrow. I shall probably opt for the other route now...!
Yes avoid LB at all costs. Even the buses are a bit messed up because everyone is having to pile on those." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

I hope today will be too, but I was in a rush this morning and didn't have breakfast and my stomachs making all kinds of noises so I may have to spend a couple of £'s on something.
Also go the gym tonight but that's already paid for as I withdrew money at the start of the month to allow for it.
Speky, thats the 2nd time this month I have heard you say about missed meals causing unplanned spends. Could you buy some breakfast bars to keep in your draw at work? Or keep something in your bag?" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Thrifty I did the Speyside challenge a few years ago which starts from Avimore. It was expensive even then. We stayed at The Boat of Garten. Your solution sounds very sensible.
Lillian what a huge pain. How much are you out by?" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Evening all,
Wow it's warm! 31 degrees here! Just got back from a school trip and having spent 3 hours today on a double decker, I am a little sticky.

Been a bit silly today. Because it wasn't going to be a NSD for some reason that made me think I had to spend as much money as possible!
Spent £55 on mostly exercise clothes. I do need more exercise clothes and the hot weather has suddenly made me run to the vests section (been running in t shirts previously), so not a total unessential purchase, but when you are in debt, and sort of unemployed it is always going to be something you should live without.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020

Morning All
Its the 20th already. Which means to all those still following along we have 11 days of knuckling down to make a difference. I reminded myself the other day that even though things are hard (again) at the moment, my personal debt level and that of my family is the lowest it has been in the last 5 years. Significantly so.
Its given me a boost. Sometimes it can feel like if you go over a budget or dont make a self imposed target that we are failing, but just remind yourself where you were when you started these challenges and feel great!
Have a good day all.

Thank you bob!
Lots of train travel today and tomorrow. Coffee is about the only thing I'd buy, so I'm off to make a portable one to take along.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Morning all,
Yesterday was a NSD and as will today!!! Brought my lunch and snacks with me and had breakfast before I left so won't be tempted with spending at lunch time
Well done Bob! Great motivation for both you and I. 11 days doesn't seem like a lot so I'll aim to spend as little as poss.0 -
Hello,
as yesterday wasn't a SFD anyway I went to Tescimo and bought some more antihistamines after work. Not sure what's going on, nothing seems to work this year (and it's worse than before) and there are days when it feels more like a cold. Anyway...
Now I have a dilemma. You know my DH is not MSE or doesn't know I'm here and we find it hard talking money. I'm usually very open, exact number etc. I'm not saying I'm a saint, my budgets can be out too and there are months where I over spend. Now, I knew he is living in his overdraft which I thought to be close to £2000 (been like that since I met him just lower). He left his opened bank statement letter on the dining table and I had a peak this morningand his balance is -£2200 with 5 days to go to payday :eek::eek:. I just don't know what to do, it seems to be getting worse but he doesn't seem to make any changes. He says oh once this or that is cheaper (nursery costs etc) I start tackling it and over pay the mortgage. I don't know how to approach it. I know how long it takes me to pay anything off while still saving, or at least if I lost my job I still had a pay check coming in whereas his would just disappear in this black hole. Do I mention that I saw it and that "WE" need to do sth. That it's not fair that I try and scrimp together pennies to pay for the front door, the garden. I'm probably enabling him to not change because I say it'll be fine, I saved money for the door etc. Car tax is coming up  Just a bit lost just now. So our debt is actually 2.2 k higher than in our signature.
