Hi All
Met my colleague this morning, which was excellent. Noticed the coffee shop had a book exchange so I left 4 lonley planet guides there instead of going to the charity shop as planned.
Pokemon cards ended at £10!! Have another set of comics on for £3 that look like they will go for £6 count down is on till they end now.
Decluttered 1 mens long sleeved t that had shrunk in the wash but still fine to wear.
Home made BLTs for lunch.
Hot spot is our landing currently where anything going into the loft is hiding..OH will tackle this later.
Back later

A manic time backstage at both of dd's show, which has fair exhausted me. (And her!) However, another NSD to claim.
Will consider your points tomorrow, bob, as I'm off to bed.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Spent quite a lot of money yesterday and today but most of it is business related (just need to earn some money to claim it back from). Laptop and new to me phone were purchased. Laptop was second hand but actually new - a man had taken in 3 which he had bought as presents and the people he bought them for didn't want them. Ah well their loss is my gain. Now on windows 8.1 so lots of new things to learn.
Phone was dearer than expected. Shop assistant had talked me through the shelf of basic (though much more modern than I am used to) phones previously but yesterday DS3 and the assistant upgraded me a shelf or two to get me to an 'ebay' standard of photos - I want to use it for selling my designs and hopefully patterns online (will be principal use) so phone was cheaper than buying phone plus camera and it can send the photos direct to the computer so no wires to keep safe.
This is of course dependent on setting up syncing things and getting my own cloud, things of which even DS3 has no knowledge and library isn't open until Monday (virtual smack to the first person who tells me to google it).
Today I had an extended shopping trip - went out to buy 3 things and wandered round a few other shops until I was tired. I remembered a couple of things from my list - had seen some of the duplicate receipt books a few days ago (didn't know anyone still sold them) and have been round a few shops looking at prices of disposable plates and crockery.
Not much spent but lots of exercise. Went in BnM for the first time in ages (it has been a bit of a hike until recently) and saw lots of usful stuff. My future self thing might be to go round all the discount stores etc checking what they have in stock and at what price - did this about 2 and a 1/2 years ago but could do with an update. Not sure if this is ambitious enough Bob?
Posted off three invitations this morning, since realised that I got left and right mixed up throughout the written instructions. Took the phone to the SM and set up payg sim (£10 credit with £20 free, convrted £5 worth into internet credit) whilst joking with the 2 young assistants about their seagull manager (flies in, sh*ts all over everything and flies out again). He asked them who was staffing 'electricals' - the next booth. They told him but if he had taken another step towards the booth, both the assistants were clearly visible. I have found and read messages and looked at some of the apps but a lot of bits don't have anything in them yet.
Kindness - told an elderly couple (both had walking sticks and were travelling slowly) that the young woman waiting to cross from the other side of the crosssing was blind, gave them plenty of time to avoid her rather than waiting until they were in the middle of the road.
More exercise this afternoon and saved £5.20 by hand delivering more invites instead of buying a bus ticket. Four to do tomorrow (2 addresses).
Selling - I had written information about a car boot/ table top sale next Saturday but it is £10 for an indoor stall, can't remember how far up the road it is (boys old high school is 3 miles away and think this is further on) so price of taxi there and back may mean it's not profitable. Had thought it mght be a useful outlet for sets of door and kitchen handles.
Okay will phone auction house on Monday (will check later to see if they are contactable tomorrow) about a piece of furniture I want them to buy/ auction. I like it but it is in need of care and attention and getting hard for me to move around. the boys hate it and DS3 says the mirror won't screw back on (nearly fell apart during the move).
I have other things I want to sell through a bookface selling site but need photos (learn how), download software to write captions, learn the cloud thing so I know how to make the photos go from the phone to the computer (witchcraft), set up paypal, think I need photo bucket or similar. Promise I will do 2 of those tomorrow.
Not short of hotspots but think I will feel most benefit from doing the bedroom (kitchen is worst but need to work out what to do with old doors/ cupboard doors/ laminate/ broken wardrobe etc before proceeding). Bedroom does not look bad but that is because half my stuff is still in bags and boxes. will tackle that and do a paper clear out at the same time (+ find bit of paper with auction house details).
Today I am grateful for a small garden (house has been sold and is empty) with rioting foxgloves and thistles, for help from an understanding friend of mum's and for a serendipitous meeting with one of my cousins which saved me another ten minutes walking (pity I didn't have a spare invite in my pocket when I met her brother earlier. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
A late check-in
Thank you everyone who gave me eBay advise. Much appreciated
Worked today, got out early and the commute had no delays.
A little shop at Lid1. Lovely red peppers for 29p each so planning grilled stuffed peppers at some stage.:)
I’ve got the decluttering bug for sure
DECLUTTERING
2 plastic food containers (thrown0
1 pillar candle (thrown)
1 hard back book (CS)
Decluttering has resulted in being able to move a small chest out of my living room. It will be a perfect bedside table when the spare room is decorated. In addition my small living room now looks more spacious :T
My tomorrow’s hotspot will be the dining room table. Sounds a tiny area but it is a dumping zone.:o
Tomorrow I will find 2 items to sell and open a paypal account

mothernerd if you have a phone capable of taking eBay quality photos, I'd guess it's also capable of downloading the eBay app? I sell all items through the app on my phone as it's much handier than sending the pictures to my laptop. Alternatively, you could email yourself the pictures from your phone. Please feel free to ignore me if you already knew these options and have discounted them.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Thanks Fmess and congratulations on getting below 2k. assume I know nothing.Think it may have the bay of e app but I don't like them - they charged me for selling a camers that was nothing to do with me. I hadn't used my account for about 2 years when I got a debt collectors letter.
I knew my account must have been hacked - I had none of the emails I would have had if I had put something on sale and sold it. Spent about two days on the phone arguing with them whilst they 'investigated' - the phrase judge, jury and executioner comes to mind. In the end I paid (not enough knowledge to argue further and was at quite a low ebb anyway) but resolved to not use them again ever if at all possible.
Quite pleased I am managing to do the side to side skatey thing on the new phone without being wierded out. feeling quite confident. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Got distracted by a netflix app thingy (needs updating - out of date code) and then managed to find my way back to here without DS3 telling me what to do. I know it's all supposed to be this intuitive stuff but never felt this way before. Morning All
Well in the spirit of following dreams etc I have just spent the last half an hour of my life registering DS to have a chance of being in the next round of The Voice. He came running upstairs all excited that there was a talent contest that he was old enough for (he's 7 & its up to 14)
I am certainly no show mamma and would say his chances are extremely slim but I felt happy for him that he is excited about something. And that he hasnt yet learned that adult behaviour of thinking we are rubbish at everything if we are not 100% superstar level at it.
Mothernerd again you sound like you have achieved so much in such a short period. I agree with Fmess and only use my mobile for selling. I think your future activity was very valid, its personal to you isn't it. Whatever means something to you is valid.

awwww Bob that is lovely
:j
morning turtles,
my exciting news today is that my regular saver finished so i just paid the whole amount inc interest off the credit card and the balance is only £595 now :T:j:beer::money: obv it was a massive amount to pay off in one go but i have been saving it for a year!
will have at least £300 from my wages on tuesday when im paid which can go towards it but it won't be enough to clear it. that will happen around wed 10th aug when i get my next big airbnb payment.
as i need a stair carpet i am going to use some of the £300 for the deposit then i can use the airbnb money for clearing both the stair and credit card balances :j
then the next stage is to start saving up for a new kitchen. think it will be maybe around £3.5k (its a tiny galley kitchen). that was based on the homebase guide so hopefully it will be cheaper if i shop around.
was going to have an emergency fund but i currently have around £1800 in various saving pots for things that i could borrow from if needed and can use the kitchen money if needed while im still saving.
my plans for today are-
next hour or so-
tidy downstairs
tidy and clean bedroom and en suite
hang out bedding
put towels on and hang out
lie on hammock all afternoon in the sunshine (might even brave my bikini :eek:) :T:j
hover and polish downstairs
cook squash and spinach coconut curry for dinner
list items i located last week on ebay
lovely long soak and de fuzz
mothernerd i would second using the ebay app. its the same account as your main one so if thats what you use for selling then it will save you a lot of time. it doesnt make you select all the options, just the most important ones, so it is soo much quicker:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0
