Sent off WTC form by post yesterday evening. Then went to SM to buy bananas and some ys salads for 15p. Spicy cauli was disappointing but the beetroot and apple grains were yummy. Put a small ys white stilton with blueberries into the freezer for 'party bits'. Might have made a profit as DS3 told me to take money from his wallet for the things he wanted and he gave me more than I needed.

Just finished writing invites for mum's party (nearly bought 2 packs of pirate invites when I did a quick count and needed to write 21). Come into the library to print off a map. Then will go back to customise them - personal messages for cousins and start trekking round with the hand deliveries.

Won't be a SFD as I have persuaded DS3 to go and look at second hand laptops and phones (need a camera but if phone will do both jobs). Shop assistant was helpful not pushy when I called in the other day.

Plans for the weekend - start getting things put away. Curtains and photos up in front room. (I have a rod - thanks to whoever suggested it. May not be any use as DS2 had used it for proper curtains and it was overstretched and bendy in the middle - have it on one side to take to mum's for her kitchen curtain).

Today I am grateful for ys bargains that allow you to try new things, for the 1/2 shoebox of space I will create once these cards, envelopes and embroidery bits have gone and for second hand technology (I don't mind being behind the times when I can cope with it - still have my PS2 and no plans to upgrade).

I've WFH today. No travel nonsense=no tiredness, so I've done okay today :)

    CLEANING
hallway surfaces and glass sprayed and cleaned
    washing up X1 X1

    DECLUTTERING
    1 hardback book
    1 small coat rack
    1 doorstop
    1 belt

    NSD number 9

    EXERCISE
30 minutes spent weeding and sweeping front garden

    HOME IMPROVEMENTS
small coat rack taken down in hallway
hallway shelf removed and stored for use in small bedroom when decorated
    removed screw in hallway

I have to say my hallway looks completely improved and all I’ve done is remove the clutter and clean. Just goes to show…It seems so light and open. Wow. Now to keep it that way…:)

I’ve got some paint languishing somewhere to touch up the hallway, but does anyone know whether you remove wall plugs?

Most important decision today is to start ebaying. I'm impressed by you all, like Bob for example who has great eBay results. Can anyone recommend a guide for a complete novice who has digital nervousness? :o

Hope your respective days went well turtles :)

Very quick check in as I'm just about to go to camp. Up to 6 NSDs now so I think I may struggle to hit my target but we'll see.

Fmess - I know what you mean about year/term end - I'm shattered too! Can't wait for next Friday!

    Have a great weekend everyone

doingitanyway I'd say just give it a go but remember to make sure you set your items to 'returns not accepted' as it always defaults to 'returns accepted'.

Today is a spendy day, going out for colleagues' leaving meal but getting a lift there and back :) Tomorrow is the start the Next summer sale is anyone is interested. So I'll probably spend, especially if I can find a new ceiling light for the lounge (ex broke it years ago practising his golf swing!)

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Greetings All

Its been a long day, but some good results
    - A meeting with a fashion photographer for advice
    - Managing to get a sim card sorted for my husbands old pay as you go mobile that I plan to use for promotion work. Dont want my number going public.
    - Popped into a print shop to get a quote on 2000 flyers, managed to get £20 off if I go with it.
    - Mortgage offer paperwork had arrived although not legals yet so still that to come before its official.
    - Had a good email exchange with a street food company interested in space for october
    - Loads of walking, around 90 minutes.
    - Managed to get our dinner from fridge raiding. 2 nice big salad plates with cold meat, cold pizza, cheese, salads & a fresh fruit platter

Have booked an hour in with a lady I worked with last year, tommorow. She is experienced in high street regeneration projects and I am hoping to pick her brains on my place over a coffee. I plan to treat her so a planned spend but I think it will pay dividends.

Going to have my dinner now then come back and read everyonea days :)

Do you mean the ones from the things you removed? Or are going to screw stuff in when you are done?

If it's where you removed stuff I would take them out and put a little bit of filler in before painting. Easiest way is to screw the screw back in about half way, rest something hard but quite thin like a coaster on the wall above it and then use the lever end of the hammer and slowly pull it out.

Should hopefully only result in a small hole (unlike the massive craters I made ripping them out with pliers :o)

If you are going to reuse the same holes just paint over it.

Sure you will keep the hallway nice as clean as will be so easy without clutter :)

So I got to lie in the hammock :j very happy :D

Spends today on a roller blind at £12.99 and batteries at £5 but returned some £14.99 wax. Then spent £15 in tesco which I thought was cheap considering £10 was in toilet paper and meat :)

Just watching tv now and about to make popcorn. Didn't buy any sugar, just had a little cherry bake well I took home from work yesterday :A

Ended up spending more than I hoped today - spent £27.98 in the supermarket plus took my bridesmaid dress, OHs suit and a jacket to get dry cleaned £39  had no idea it would be that expensive, however, it needed doing. Obviously hit the supermarket at the right time though as I managed to pick up 5 gf loaves at 25p each and 2 packs of gf wraps at 25p each so really pleased with that :D

Not much else to report from today, went to the gym with a friend. Have a day off work tomorrow so looking forward to that.

I went to dd's sports morning today and the weather was lovely. They have recently introduced a house system (a woodland animal plus a colour per house), and dd's house won so we were all very pleased!

Tomorrow is her dance show and I am a chaperone. It is always incredibly disorganised in the build up and backstage, so I'll do my best to be of use...! I know that I'll find it very stressful and hard work, but dd needs me there, so I'll be there with a smile!

Apple hope DD has a great show. Wont say break a leg ;)
Misstara well done on your GF bargains. Dry cleaning is expensive isnt it!
Clippy hope the hen do goes well.
Mothernerd Good luck getting all the invites out.
Fmess Hope you enjoy your meal out
    Julie Hope camp is fun.
Doingitanyway My advice is to check your asking price against similar items already selling. Try and be as competitive as possible. If you feel confident of your price list as a buy it now not an auction. Its quicker that way.
Dont sell anything too heavy or postage will make it worthless. You can try heavy items on collection only.
Florence Good luck in your race this weekend.
Lillian wow you are good at getting your monies worth!
Calling Sorry you have felt down. Hope the weekend will be better.
