Think so. It says this:MeteredOut said:
Does your current (expiring) contract have the 10% limitation clause?OldDIYer said:I'm confused, can anyone help?Sky Price Now Signature 29.50 12.00 17.50 Ultimate (Netflix) 4.50 4.50 Multiscreen 15.00 6.50 8.50 49.00 30.50 April Signature 35.70 21% 12.00 23.70 35% Ultimate (Netflix) 4.50 0% 4.50 0% Multiscreen 15.00 0% 6.50 8.50 0% 55.20 13% 36.70 20%
So, gross price of Signature up 21%, net 35%
Bottom line 13%/20%
But reading comments I thought there was a limit of 10% on increases. Mine are more than that even if calculated on the before discount prices or total package prices. Have I missed something?
11.7. During the minimum term, unless it is for a reason set out in condition 11.8 below (where the following increase limits do not apply), we may increase the then standard price of each TV subscription service only once in any 12 month period and the increase will not be more than 10% or the increase in the UK Retail Price Index over the 12 months before we tell you about that price increase, whichever is greater.0 -
Seems pretty clear cut. RPI has not been over 10% since the middle of 2023. Unless condition 11.8 applies?OldDIYer said:

I'd certainly be taking that to Sky and asking why they're proposing a > 10% increase. Whats not clear to me is how they apply that restriction over multiple products, when the limitation applies to the "standard price of each TV subscription service". But, I can't see how they could use your increases to come up with any figure less than 10%.
Please come back with how they respond.0 -
Mine rises from £80.50 to £90.49, the increases are on the main Sky Signature, Sky Broadband and Netflix Premium upgrades. The other elements are not rising. Still didn't expect an extra £10 a month mind when I did the deal in October.0

Just phoned Sky. They said I'll have to call after receiving the email about price increases. But he thought the increase was £4 but it's £6.20. Then he said the extra £2.20 is a reduction in a loyalty discount from £7 to £4.80, but that doesn't appear on the bill or in their emails - very confusing. However, even £4 is more than 10%. I'll try again when the email arrives. What a pain!MeteredOut said:

Time to say goodbye!
Like everybody else my subscription had crept up in price.
I cancelled & they tried (not very hard & no phonecalls) to change my mind.
I've been a customer for 35 years (BSkyB days) - what they're offering just isn't competitive any more!
I've not phoned them back as I sure they won't go down to the price that I think the service is worth.
They charge quite a lot extra for multi room which you can get for free with 2 fire sticks.
Why is their Signature package so much more expensive than the £6.99 NOW TV package?
Why are they charging so much for HD (&UHD)? - it's 2025 Guys!
I've boxed up my equipment & have signed up for a few streaming packages - which are considerably less expensive.
I'm sick of their greed - so I've done with Sky now!!1 -
Why pay full price for Netflix through sky for the same price you can get is direct? By paying Netflix direct you get a month on month contract so you can stop or pause any time you want and it won't go up in April. I tried the £4.99 with ads option and have found there are hardly any ads and many programmes have no ads at all so have no need to upgrade.Lovetofly said:Lovetofly said:Hi all. Received a text message (27.1.25) asking me to get in touch about my cancellation.Only got in touch today (6.2.25) with 10 days to go before the end of TV as I know it.Just finished a 1 hour 45 mins online chat. Have now got a deal I'm happy with. Was given 3 different prices today but wasn't interested until they got it below £100/month. I'm sure there are better prices out there but now I can keep all the recordings on my 2TB Sky Q box (It's 86% full........yes i know!).So here's the deal:Signature £24.50Ultimate £10.99 (No ads on Netflix)Sports + HD £11 + £0Cinema £13HD £4Multiroom £10B/B £24 (reduced speed to Full Fibre 100 as Superfast not needed)Totalling £97.490 -
Good point about Netflix. I've just cancelled getting it through Sky as there is no decent discount anymore and I can switch on and off to save months when I watch other platforms or Freeview stuff. However coincidentally Netflix have just announced price rises. The new UK pricing is Standard with adverts: £5.99/month (a £1 increase); Standard: £12.99/month (a £2 increase) and Premium for £18.99/month (a £1 increase).GrubbyGirl_2 said:

Because it’s the cheapest way to access Netflix top tier, assuming you can haggle a deal with Sky you’re happy with.GrubbyGirl_2 said:

Netflix top tier direct is £18 and likely to go up again this year as they’re just raised prices, yet again, in the States.

It's funny you mention that, because that's exactly what negotiating with Sky at renewal time feels like!JulesWinnfield said:
