I haven't threatened to cancel, just asked for a better deal using the online chat.

I asked them to knock another £8 off per month and they said no and went on to tell me it is a great deal as it includes the April 2024 price rise already. I found that an odd selling point as that was 6 months ago so of course it does, it does highlight that it doesn't include the coming April 2025 increase though! And then the 2026 increase that I would still be in contract for so forced to accept.

I am going to ask them to cancel some of the services and see if they offer a further improvement on the price to keep it all.

Put in cancellation for tv with a 31 day notice then after 2 weeks contact them the price will come down with no admin fee

For me TV Services £114 discounted to £64.50 

Usual back and forwards attempting to get to 50% discount.  Got to 43% this time for 18 months
No Admin charges even mentioned.  Recorded calls needed checked when it went Pete Tong.

Look at your future bills - Sky have form for putting the admin charge on WITHOUT mentioning it directly in the discussion !

Interesting you say its an 18 month contract. Have you double-checked that is what you've got, as I've not seen anyone else post anything other than a 24 month deal since Sky changed that a few months back.

That's a really good deal, and a few quid less than I got for the same package when i renewed within the cancellation period earlier this year (but just for 18 months). It shows that actually letting it cancel is the way to get the lowest price. Unfortunately, my family did not want to even do without it for a few days,

Excellent deal - I'm paying £50.50 WITHOUT Cinema and Netflix - and I thought I'd done well LOL

I gave notice last week after 9 years of being with Sky.  Prices had become silly and even when contacting them their price only came down by £1.50.  Am going back to Virgin which is half of Sky`s prices £39.99, also we get the boosts on our mobile phone contracts which are with O2 and increased broadband speeds.  Who knows if its a good move or not, but am fed up with Sky and the grovelling you have to do save a few pounds.  Virgin being installed in 3 weeks but their engineer has turned up this morning just to check everything is in place for the installation, so can`t fault them so far.

Can you still get retention/come back deals using online messaging?

We were disconnected a couple of days but whenever I follow the reviewmyoptions link they've texted me, I only get the option to call them. Would much prefer to not spend half an hour on the phone to them and also to be able to review any offers with a bit more time and clarity.

Contacted Sky again today via chat and told them the above new price was too expensive. They only offered to remove items from the package, no further discount is being offered. I have submitted my cancellation request
 today and will update if anything changes.
