Got to the end downgraded to just 1 box at £13.50 at 18mths. Then told to pay the £10 admin fee. I refused to pay it, another con by Sky to get money from its customers.

is that via online chat or calling them?

Live chat. Always find that better plus you can screen grab the conversation just in case they don't apply correctly

Just got a deal - was going up to £102 per month after last contract ended, cancelled and have been offered same package for £44 per month plus £25 credit, that's £10 per month less than last package, on a 12 month contract, wouldn't extend it to 18 months. Happy with what I've got though.

    5. Spoke with retentions, they offered me 33% off. Said that wasnt good.

You could have done much better. I pay the equivalent of under £6/month for exactly the same, just by letting the service go off.

Could have let it go off, however last years deal ends soon, and next month has been billed at the full cost (£80). To save the £58, we needed to act quick, lock in the deal and get that bill reduced.

With the free month, recovering the £58 is equates to £15.70 each month (for 12 months) on this package. I fully expect a Sky Sports offer to drop into the inbox soon.

Letting it go off - We need to set a calander reminder to cancel it next year, otherwise we will be faced with the same problem next year.

Can you get these deals as a new customer with a HD box and dish already fitted?

I cannot see them offering a new customer anything near the offers being quoted here even with Topcashback or Quidco but I hope somebody could prove me wrong!

I MAY be wrong ,but I don't think that they will let you join now as a new customer UNLESS you take a Sky Q package - how long ago were you last a customer ??
