Phoned Sky yesterday to cancel phone and broadband. Of course the nice Scottish lady came back with a deal ,£8 cheaper than what I am paying now, and made the point of it being on a 12 month contract not 18.
I said a lot can happen in 12 months, this time last year I had 2 legs. She said I am really sorry to hear that Mr ***** I said, yes, I went on one of these medical research programmes and at the end of the week I had 3 legs.
They payed me £5000 for the week but I have spent it all on having special jeans made and having to buy 2 pairs of shoes at a time. She said how terrible but I now come under their disability scheme and I can have 50% 0ff. Great!
Then she said what about Sky tv? I reply that I'm blind, and she says your in luck Mr ***** we are doing a half price offer for blind people today. Yes lets go for it!
So now I'm getting the full works for £12 . She says is there anything else I can help you with , I say sorry, do you think you could repeat that I'm a bit deaf. Why didn't you say that earlier Mr *****, lets see what we can do!0 -

I have the Variety Pack with sports and cinema, HD and multiscreen.
I had been getting some discount so was paying £76, this is now going up to the full £92.
I used online chat and was offered 33% and then 40% off for 10 months in a 12 month contract. I asked if they could do 40% off for the full 12 months... they said no, so I cancelled.
By the time I'd put my laptop away, made a brew and turned the TV on, there was a deal on screen for 60% off for 12 months. So I'll now be paying £51.20.
I'm really happy with that, I've nearly always had some discount but never been brave enough to actually cancel, hubby would have a mad do if he'd known I'd cancelled. but what he doesn't know won't hurt him :rotfl:Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.0 -

So just went online to check my future bills and it will be higher than expected. Despite offering a 60% discount on my current package, they have added £12 for Sky+HD which I was not paying for before. Anyone else had this?
I was paying £67 for the Variety with HD package. This included £5.00 for sky go extra. Also had Sky+ subscription and Sky 3D free. There was no separate line for this £12 charge for Sky H D
I expected to pay a discount of 60% on my £67 package + £5 for sky go extra. Did I calculate this wrong?
Thank you0 -

You beat me to it by 10 minutes but yep, that's multi room. I'm guessing the OP had a free multiroom which has run out (or Sky's messed up). Discounts don't apply to multiroom normally.0 -
I don't have multiroom. Never had it.
I live in a one bedroom flat0
