Sky TV retention deals ( post your haggling successes )

That sounds very familiar, but hang on.
When I was in the leaving process, at the end of last year, a number of us were given increasing offers of 50%/10 months, 50%/12 months and 60%, but some reported trying to accept the 60% , only to be told it wasn't available.
Some (all?) of us who let things go, were offered 75% off and some credit, so worth the wait (though , without the offer, I would have stayed away).
Just had an e-mail from Sky offering me the 60% so now official and done. Next year aiming for the 75% you say and some credit.
Very happy with the 60% as this mitigates the price rises over the last 3 years.
Thanks all for advice and help 👍0 -
Sky TV been cut off today.
It would appear that offers don't appear in the app or via the TV anymore (the app recently did an update).I enjoy a pint of beer each night for it's health benefits. The other pints are for my witty comebacks and flawless dance moves.0 -
From what I hear from a lot of other sources, it's nigh on impossible to get the 75% discount since January.... and also very unlikely to get credit.I enjoy a pint of beer each night for it's health benefits. The other pints are for my witty comebacks and flawless dance moves.0

How quickly are people getting offers?
Last year I cancelled and had a "comeback offer" in my My Sky account within about 30 mins of my cancellation being processed. I went into 31 day notice period yesterday and when checking "My Offers" this morning I am getting a "Unable to Proceed" message and says "unfortunately we are unable to show you exclusive offers online, please call....."
I have everything set to "on" in terms of my marketing preferences and got the offer to return via this way last year.0 -

Best bet is to go on live chat with them.I enjoy a pint of beer each night for it's health benefits. The other pints are for my witty comebacks and flawless dance moves.0 -
I haggled with Sky's customer retention team via their online chat facility and saved £30 a month over 10 months, so an overall saving of £300 this calendar year.
We currently have movies and sports and while we use both, were finding it hard to justify the cost given other budgetary pressures.
We've been transferred from one of the old legacy accounts to a boxsets one, including movies and with sports HD as an add on for a total overall cost of £40 a month, instead of £80. It will revert to £80 after 10 months when we'll need to think again, especially as Sky has lost the contract to show the Ashes in Australia next winter.Big thanks to Martin Lewis for helping us start to sort out our finances!!!:A
Best Comp win:X-Box 360!!
And thank you to all posters! You're wonderful!0 -

Still getting the "Unable to proceed" message online but went into My Account on my TV last night and a 60% off for 12 months offer was sitting there. Happy to take that.0
