    Cancelled 1 week ago
No phonecall - so went on chat.
Offered - Sky Q With Sky Signature (Upgrade from Sky+)
Extra mini box (for multi room)
     £25 (18 months contract)
    No installation or admin charges.
Told them I wasn’t paying £10 admin charge (they took it off)
Told them I already have Virgin Broadband (true) & that Virgin has offered me a good deal to go with them (not as true)

    No HD ??
No HD but I’m confident I could add it for £1 If I wanted it
Didn't bother last time - my TVs are only 32” & my eyesight is getting worse.
I’ll have a look at the “free” HD channels when it’s installed & see if it’s worth bothering!

I handed my 31 days cancellation notice in 2 weeks ago. Had a call yesterday...
Been one week since I handed in my notice and still no call. This gives me hope the call is still to come!
Great news - had the call back this morning (08007613362) and managed to agree £51pm.

So, to confirm, I have an existing Sky Q 2TB and mini box. I was previously on £61pm - and my package is now:

Sky Signature & Ultimate TV Add On(was £31) now £25
    Sky Sports and Sky Cinema
    (was £41) now £17
    HD and Ultra HD
    (was £6 + £4)  now £1 + £2
    Sky Multiscreen
    (was £14) now £6
Total: (was £96) now £51 for 18 months

March 2022 seems so far away...

    Thanks again everyone!
  • Went on live chat today and added HD for FREE (18 months).
Not sure whether I really need it but @£0 per month - Why not!
Process was reasonably quick & painless.
  • Hi All,
I could be possible moving to Sky as a new customer, what is the best way to get the best possible deal? Looking at the website, the package i want is actually quite expensive.

  • I recently agreed a new 18mth contract at £54pm for the full sky package, sports/movies, HD, Sky Q 2tb, mini box multi room,
however due to Sky messing me around with the installation i cancelled giving 1 months notice.
Just took out the same original deal but with the UHD and premium netflix for £49pm.
I was paying 38pm for my original sky on HD box and £9.99 for a separate netflix account.

We were on the Sky Entertainment package with a old Sky+ box paying £29/month.
We cancelled the other month and have just accepted the following come back deal via web chat

    Sky Signature £13 (18 months)
Free 1TB Sky Q Box and install
Netflix Basic £4 (31 days notice)

Sadly, they wouldn’t waive the £10 admin fee.
Does anyone have any tips regarding upgrading to Sky Q? From some of the previous posts, it seems the type of STB or dish installed might be important for some reason and one should keep hold of the old Sky + box?
  • Had the Entertainment package for the last 18mth at £11 p.m.  Cancelled, but the best they offered in the last week of my contract was £15.  A few days after contract ended, got an email from them offering Sky Signature at £13 p.m. plus £10 admin. Called them and they agreed to add a £10 credit to the account.  Quite happy, but now wondering if I should have asked for a free Sky Q box.

I told them that my existing Sky Box didn't have a internet connection/WiFi so I couldn't use Boxsets (the only difference between Entertainment and Signature packages?) and that I was also interested in Netflix.
Our Sky Box is very old, some of the more recent ones come with built in WiFi I believe.
On the other hand, you got them to remove the £10 such they wouldn't do for me

I would agree if you can get SKYQ for free why not, if it ever breaks, you get a new one free, don't need to worry when the old SKY HD box will stop working now.
