Package is set to rise to £67 next month. Started on £54.99 in August 2018 and has been rising steadily since.
I've just been offered the following (same package as we currently have).
    Entertainment – £17
    Sky Sports HD – £21
    Sky essential broadband – £22
    Total: £60
Admin fee of £20 on top.
Does that seem like a good deal? Would ideally like to get it reduced further.

I was coming to the end of my discounts a few weeks ago, so I used Live Chat to try and negotiate a new offer.  (They extended my previous one automatically, but seemed to have stopped doing that now)

I have an old Sky HD Box and also pay BT separately for BT Sports, so I was looking to try and include these in the deal.  We got close, but I didn't agree anything, as I though I'd wait for them to reach out to me again.

They did send me an email about my 'Exclusive Offer' to stay with Sky, so I contacted them again via Live Chat.  However all they were able to do is offer worse than before, so I suggested I call the 'Win Back' team.

I told them what my previous best offer was and they said they can discount this further, so this is what I ended up with:

    Entertainment - £13
    HD - £1
    Kids - £1
    Box Sets - £1
Sky Sports + BT Sports (Ultimate Sports Package) - £35
TOTAL £51 (18 month contract and including April rise)

Free Sky Q 1Tb box and Free install
    £10 Admin fee

  • I wonder if the best offers are being given to people with the old sky HD box to encourage a move to sky q.

I was offered Sky q for £10 one off fee included in the new contract.

Probably -lot less flexibility at contract renewal time if you have Q box, which they will take back if you cancel!

I was offered Entertainment & Sport in HD for £26/month on HD+ box or £32/month on Q

Has anyone contacted Sky regarding the upcoming price rises to voice their displeasure and if so what kind of stance were they taking regarding it. My bill is going up £4 a month from April and still have about 4 months till renewal time.

Yes, I got rid of the box sets which were £1 and HD which were also £1. So, my bill remains more or less the same as before. Ok...I lose out on HD and Box sets, but didnt really watch them. Will miss HD though.....

So was there no attempt on Sky’s part to do something on your current package to try and offset the price hike in any way? You had to downgrade to keep
    bills the same?
