Sky TV retention deals ( post your haggling successes )

Sports is HD, another £1 for ent HD. Also offered box sets and kids for £1 each. Cinema £10. If I took sports and cinema together, £22 for both.
Sounds like a decent deal and I would go for Ent, HD & sport at that if they offered it!!
How were you offered this? I wasn't getting that offer over phone but may try messaging
(Sorry for all the q's - appreciate your replies and hopefully it helps me get something a bit better than currently offered!)
EDIT - I can see that deal now when I log into my Sky account. It seems to be a new contract offer, not sure if it is meant to be there. I may try messanging and see if I can actually get it.0 -
Had my first text off sky today since putting in my cancellation and was linked to the “recontract” team in India. They couldn’t match the mydeal offer of £35 for everything except cinema and Netflix and the best they could do was £41 but they could offer a new sky + box.
3 weeks till cancellation so will see if the offers improve nearer the date as I assume the mydeal one will stay there in the meantime. It is much harder this year to haggle than before0 -

I got it off a link someone on this thread put on, https://www.sky.com/mydeal, you then put your account log in details and the offer is on there. 12 month deal, no admin fee.0 -
When you guys have cancelled Sky Q, do they always take the box away? I know they own it and are supposed to take it back, but do they actually?0

I'm surprised this comes as news to anybody.
I've taken the liberty of correcting that for you. When you guys have cancelled Sky Q, do they always take the box away? I know they own it and are supposed to take it back, but do they actually?
I haven't completed my cancellation yet but yes, they always always send packing for you to send it back.0 -
Hey All
Im currently paying £65 a month for TV(With hd and multiscreen), BB(Fibre unlimited) and talk anytime extra(which we dont use)
Is this a good deal? I would like to have sports for the next NFL season, (think that would be BT sports??) but not sure if it would be lots more a month.0 -
Just finished negotiating my new offer as my last one was due to finish on 5th April and price would jump from £18pm to £37pm for Entertainment plus HD and Box Sets.
I used Messenger to contact Sky. A TV “expert” said she couldn’t match or beat my current offer so would pass me on to cancellations.
Cancellations came on after a short wait and we discussed that either I wanted a new deal or to cancel.
First offer was £22pm for Entertainment and £1 each for HD and Box Sets So total of £24pm. Told him to go ahead and process the cancellation.
Then he came back and said he could take another £5 off Entertainment making £19 total. I declined that offer and mentioned that my Dad had got Entertainment for £13pm. He said he could give me Entertainment alone for £13 but not with the HD/Box Sets offer.
So I said I wanted both and unless we got down to at least £18pm and some mitigation of the £10 admin fee, then I would cancel. I was then asked what I would do for my TV services. Told him Freesat, Virgin or even Now TV.
Long wait of around half an hour and then he came back with ;
Entertainment £10pm
HD and Box Sets £1pm each
Admin fee of £10
He said this was the very best he could do but would have to take the offer today. I agreed to this!
This was yesterday evening and a wee bit worried overnight as the main discount for Entertainment couldn’t be applied today for some reason. However he promised to keep the chat open and get back to me in the morning which, true to his word, he did.
Now all applied and next 3 bills show the discounts as agreed. I have it all in writing from the transcript of the Messenger chat.
What a Legend.0 -

Decided to go for this deal, as per another post on here I found it on http://www.sky.com/mydeal the day after I cancelled. The offer from retentions was Ent/HD/F1 for £31/mth plus a £10 admin fee, and this offer is £33/mth and gives me all sports channels - can cancel sports with 31 days notice and then its just £15 for Ents and £1 for HD which is a 12 month contract, no admin fee. I just accepted the deal on that mydeals page, didn't go through the customer services team again.
I'm happy enough, wanted the F1 and may have been swayed by the Leeds game on sports tonight! Bit more than I had wanted to pay but didn't think I would get all the sports channels so the extra will be easily offset by not having to pay out for any NowTV sports day passes now.0 -
I've cancelled my current subscription of £17 a month for Ent,HD & Kids
I logged into sky.com/mydeal, same as a lot of people on here Ent.£15, Boxsets £1,Kids £1, HD £1, Movies £10 & Sport £13
I started a online chat as I also need a new box so wanted to know what Sky Q offer I could get.
I was offered Ent at £22 and Movies at £11 (hd,kids,bs £1 each)
When I advised I could get a better deal logging in I was told that's for new customers only and there was no way I could retain my current deal!
This went back and forth until I was told I would need to do a screen shot and sent it to them for a manager to over ride the £22 per month and if I didn't I would have to pay the Ent. at £22
This took 50 minutes in total, I ended the chat as I was getting so frustrated0
