£22 Sky Entertainment not gone for new deal as planning to leave in August when contract up.0
-
I am currently on cancellation notice and via the mydeal page have been offered
Entertainment. £15
Sport. £17
Kids, box sets and hd all £1 each
Cinema £5 if taken with sport
Problem I have is that my sky + box is 10 years old and I want an upgrade to sky q but having called yesterday the best they will offer for an upgrade was £53 a month for sport and entertainment only with no fee for sky q box but factored in over 12 months is works out around £250 more.
They are definitely not giving as much as they used to and the guy said yesterday they won’t be chasing me to rejoin and won’t be lowering the prices offered. Looks like I’m heading over to virgin media.0 -
Spent three hours yesterday either trying to get through on Web Chat, or pointlessly chatting to one of Sky's "Experts".
Like many others, I have one of their legacy deals, where I have SKY+, Variety pack and HD, which gives me the F1 channel for "free". Currently paying £46.50 per month.
Decided to see if they would reduce my payments a bit, just on the basis that we've been with them for 13 years and basically never had a deal. So, after 3 hours they offer......£2.50 off per month. I'd rather have the 3 hours back. I'm going to cancel. No haggling, just cancelling. Will report back here if they offer anything better.0 -
Hi,
Currently have Sky Q multi room package.
I would like an additional sky Q mini box, what success have people had on getting one?
Currently being told £75.
Thanks in advance0 -
I tried to see if I could get a better deal the other week, But I feel like Sky have got me over the barrel with the discounts that are already in place that they've extended until next year.
I have a Sky+HD box and I'm on the old Boxsets package with Fibre Max which was upgraded for free in January. I don't have Cinema or Sports.
After the price rise my Boxsets package will be £24.90 with a £16.60 discount. Sky Fibre Max will be £11.00 with a £16 discount, and the line rental stays at £18.99.
(£24.90 for Boxsets & £29.99 for landline and Fibre = £54.89 a month)
I asked about downgrading my TV package and they quoted me £47.49 for Sky Entertainment, Fibre Max and £2.50 off line rental. I also asked about HD which they could add for additional £4 a month, Which would make the new total £51.49.
I didn't feel like it was much of a saving so I told them to leave it and stick with the Boxsets package.0 -
Just finished negotiating my new offer as my last one was due to finish on 5th April and price would jump from £18pm to £37pm for Entertainment plus HD and Box Sets.
I used Messenger to contact Sky. A TV “expert” said she couldn’t match or beat my current offer so would pass me on to cancellations.
Cancellations came on after a short wait and we discussed that either I wanted a new deal or to cancel.
First offer was £22pm for Entertainment and £1 each for HD and Box Sets So total of £24pm. Told him to go ahead and process the cancellation.
Then he came back and said he could take another £5 off Entertainment making £19 total. I declined that offer and mentioned that my Dad had got Entertainment for £13pm. He said he could give me Entertainment alone for £13 but not with the HD/Box Sets offer.
So I said I wanted both and unless we got down to at least £18pm and some mitigation of the £10 admin fee, then I would cancel. I was then asked what I would do for my TV services. Told him Freesat, Virgin or even Now TV.
Long wait of around half an hour and then he came back with ;
Entertainment £10pm
HD and Box Sets £1pm each
Admin fee of £10
He said this was the very best he could do but would have to take the offer today. I agreed to this!
This was yesterday evening and a wee bit worried overnight as the main discount for Entertainment couldn’t be applied today for some reason. However he promised to keep the chat open and get back to me in the morning which, true to his word, he did.
Now all applied and next 3 bills show the discounts as agreed. I have it all in writing from the transcript of the Messenger chat.0 -
can i ask how long you have been with sky tv prior to getting this deal?0

I'm currently out of contract with a Sky+ box (don't need anything as fancy as Sky Q) .
My monthly bill is shortly due to increase to just over £71 for:
Sky box sets / variety (old legacy package), HD pack, Sky sports complete pack, sports HD, Sky Cinema, SkyGo.
I've been offered:
Entertainment pack 20
HD 1
Box sets 1
Sports 16
Sports HD 2
Cinema 11
Skygo Free
Total 51pm (18m contract) + one off £10 admin fee
I've been told the only channels I'll lose with the new package is Kids tv, which is no problem for me.
Initially tempted to go with the £20pm savings but noting other posters comments (particularly the cheaper entertainment pack) just wondered whether worth holding out for more discount? or am I being greedy?0
