My Oct. bill (now paid) has 12 credits showing and 11 debits, most of which are impossible to match up:rotfl:
Since my last post the next expected bill has magically been altered back to the amount I agreed to pay for the next 12 months !!:T

    :rotfl:
My next bill has a few more debits and credits on it, but the upside is that the bill total works in my favour when they've all been taken into account. Last month's bill after adjustments for being massively overcharged in August was less than a quid! :j

There are credits and debits with links to "Why am I paying for 1 day?"... "Why am I paying for 2 days"... and "Why am I paying for 6 days"... "24 days"... and finally "30 days"... all of which say "This is because you added or removed something from your package during or around this billing period".

The next bill concludes with two credit adjustments, one for thirty something quid and another for a tenner. Later bills for Nov, Dec and Jan all appear normal. Phew!:T

Been on the phone again and offered Full package and skyQ + mini box for £55, instead of the £92 it will cost from the 20th Nov. 50% off Box sets, sports & movies, but full price HD sports and skyQ.
Told them to cancel it as I'm in my last month of my 75% and £100 credit to account, and that will way more than double my bill.
They said sky goes off 20th Nov, had email later saying sky goes off 29th Nov... aarrgghhhh.
Back on phone and now will be 48 hours to adjust to the correct date.
    The wait continues.....

Oh yes the skyQ contract is for 18 months, the rest is 12 months, they said just ring up after 12 months and we'll see what we can do once the TV package goes to full price. But obviously I'm still in contract for another 6 months with skyQ then, so they won't have to do anything.
    Cheeky.
  • I was also on the 75% off + £100 account credit offer expiring 20th next month. TV only.

Cancelled easily via Live Chat. Was just honest and said it's too expensive when it goes back to full price.

Refreshingly, no phased offers, "maximum" offer of 50% off provided straight away, which i declined, and cancellation processed.

Hopefully something good comes through later. (60 or 75% with account credit). But then, we're always in a decent position to wait as we're not too bothered about SKY at home anyway, so actually going ahead with a cancellation isn't a problem.

Yes that was an excellent deal for this last year.
Was your 50% off offered on the whole package, or like mine only on parts of it?
I'd probably bite at 60% off the lot if they are even offering that much this year otherwise it'll be grief off the wife and kids.

This year i have tried 3 advisors and only been offered 40% off

    Yes. 50% immediately, but refused.

If I can't have at least 60% plus a credit or 75%agian I'm not interested so it will stay off after 18th November....provided that they get the current mess-up sorted.

After a promise that the incorrect cut off date of 20thNovember would be amended to 18th November, I've just had an email saying it will be 17th of this month !

Another phone call followed and the lady said she would stand over her manager and check they did things correctly, but then she rang me to say that her manager found the account locked and not closeable as I had added something (which she said was nonsense) ,so now it has to go to the backoffice.

I've never had trouble like this before.....but I don't mind if they want to lock me on 75% off for the next 12 months.

It looks like this is not uncommon.
My cut off date is 20th Nov, I called to cancel and an email later that evening stated cut off 29th Nov.
Back on phone again and promised it would be amended, my next Dec/Jan bills in my sky app then changed to full price £92.
Back on phone again and the clowns had cancelled the cancellation,
They then promised the cancellation would be put on again and date set at 20th Nov.
I had an email next day saying sky would end on the 21st Nov... I give up...

....the mess that their billing systems are in at the moment over the Sports Pack fiasco, its far more likely that they will (try) to lock you in for 12 months at full price!!Haven't seen any reports of 75% off deals lately, altho' the odd person seems to still be able to blag a cash credit.

@investme - I got offered 60% off the programme packs fairly easily ,altho' they can't seem to offer anything off Sports HD pack currently - I ended up with a small account credit, but only because of the God Almighty mess they had made of my billing:rotfl:
