I've clicked the link. Sky seem to have added a £10 administrative charge and then added £6 monthly for HD, so its not really 50% off. Has anyone else had similar?

    Thanks

With regards their £10 admin charge, send an em to their ceo Jeremy Darroch to complain. I did this several weeks ago and a few days later, I got a phone call from customer services, who refunded it back to me.

Sky are taking the p*ss with trying this one.

The agent couldn't /wouldn't take it off my deal -but he gave me an extra £10 discount off the last bill of the current deal instead:)
  • Thanks for that. Does anyone have any experience with Sky chat? It's taking ages as they're all busy apparently and it has timed out once!

Edited to add - Couldn't get through on Sky chat so I called them.

    Current package
    Sky Q Multiroom (box upstairs)
    Box Sets TV
    Fibre BB
    Phone

Was £39 a month. Now shot up to £100 /month.

Called and was inititally told that the best they could do was £77.99 a month and was then put through to retentions which was a little better:

    Sky Q multi room
    Variety Package
    Fibre BB.

Phone package taken off as I don't use it. £58.19/month.

Told them I would think and call back. This isn't great is it?

You need to cancel your tv package. You will then get 50% off at least for tv,

Do not cancel BB or phone. Move to another supplier and tel Sky that you are looking to move BB and phone. See what they offer for BB and phone to keep you.

    HTHs.

    Thanks :)

Is it better to cancel it all and hope they offer a better deal in the 31 days? I don't mkind moving back to virgin again if that is going to work out the cheapest.

Only cancel your TV package. Do not cancel your phone or B/Band; otherwise you will not have them after 14 days. For your b/band and phone; join another supplier like BT or Virgin. They will then contact Sky to cancel you b/band and phone.

    HTHs.

I was going to cancel yesterday to give my 30 days notice for TV and the retentions guy said that all that Sky would offer this year was 50% off. He said that he could offer me that straight away and that they wouldn't offer any better deals nearer to cut off date. Is this just sales talk or is 50% off the best anyone has got this year? (Currently on 60% off).

I got a call from sky about my cancellation email, got put through to retentions who then straight away offered me the same 50% discount again, much easier than expected
  • Mine has been off a week now with no calls/emails/mail from Sky.

Best offer I had was 50% off the Boxsets package only as per Sky Stay 50 link.

They wouldn't offer any discount on multiroom so my package was due to go from £25 to £31, not massive I know but out of principle. So I am currently Skyless ha ha
